I’m exploring human perception and consciousness in local environments. Beside that I experiment with sustainable material alternatives by using living organisms. During half a year of constant experiment and try and error, different samples emerged, adressing the topics of relief, structure, color, shape. Coffee grounds get produced in large amounts, this is why I decided to use waste materials from coffee shops for my material research. With my project I want to reuse waste coffee grounds and napkins as a valuable resource. Design as exploratory tool. The movie shows the U-Bahn in Munich in photographic setups and graphic movements. It is a collaborational work with Annalena Rebele. By dealing intensively with film, sound and cutting, a documentary film about the subway in Munich originated. The movie was released at the University of Television and Film Munich. Design as exploratory tool. The MHM is the biannual student magazine of the University of Munich. It is created over a timespan of six month by a group of designers and photographers. Beside of the conceptual design, the process of making the magazine includes the creation of a consistent concept, the collection of content and finally the interaction with the printery. The neon color PANTONE 805 U was used as main design element.

I programmed it with Java Script using a SVG library, thus it is fully scalable for all kinds of screen sizes. It works on desktop computers and touch devices.

Freilich rises awareness and appreciation for sustainable food consumption and local and seasonal food production.
