Diary of a Homeschool Mom

Diary of a Homeschool Mom. Thursday, February 21, 2013. 10 Days in Europe. We've added a new educational game to our collection and I'm very happy with it! We've played many rounds together as a family and on some days for geography during our school day. It's easy and generally a pretty quick game. Diary of a Homeschool Mom: January 2012

http://diaryofahsmom.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Diary of a Homeschool Mom. Friday, January 20, 2012. I Found My Little Girl. The transition from girlhood into adolescence often leaves me stunned, baffled, scratching my head and asking "Why me? I am thankful that God is helping me to embrace this natural part of life.today anyhow! I wrote this poem today:. I Found My Little Girl. There was, once upon a time, my little girl so amiable and nimble. Climbing trees, skipping rocks, running through the day. Look, Daddy and Mommy, I made you this.". From the...

Diary of a Homeschool Mom. Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Her 13th birthday is one we are sure to remember. Not just because of the age but her toothless circumstances. We didn't plan for it to happen this way, but she ended up having oral surgery 3 days before her birthday. She had ten. Needless to say, she's been pretty uncomfortable for the past few days and has eaten more tapioca pudding and mashed potatoes than she has her whole life! She's got quite a few stitches and a lot of gums! Thursday, May 10, 2012.

Diary of a Homeschool Mom: Nature Journal

http://diaryofahsmom.blogspot.com/2012/09/nature-journal.html

Diary of a Homeschool Mom. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. I won't write about pulling my hair while trying to organize, locate and grade papers for Jenna's classes, or the number of times I had to confiscate slowly deflating balloons that were releasing horrible whining, squawking sounds during class time. Instead, we'll focus on the orderly, peaceful, Charlotte Mason-y side of things. This melted my heart. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. A Few of My Favorite Things.

Diary of a Homeschool Mom. Thursday, October 25, 2012. We are s l o w l y getting back into school mode after a week vacation to Disney World and visiting family in the Sunshine State. And might I mention, it was sunshiney and warm. A perfect 86 degrees. We had a magical time together! I think this was our 2nd out of 5 times riding the Tower of Terror. LOVED that ride! I think we had a Fast Pass for this one, as it's practically empty. Jared and Jenna riding down Summit Plummet, a 14 story drop! Hello Fr...

http://diaryofahsmom.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Diary of a Homeschool Mom. Saturday, December 8, 2012. Our craft table is quite messy and festive looking as we crank out our homemade ornaments. Some will be gifts so I won't picture them all, but here are a few. Thanks to all the creative people on Pinterest for giving us the ideas. Fa la la la la.la la la la! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Saying "yes" to serving God and my family through homeschooling my two kids was the best decision I've made! View my complete profile. A Few of My Favorite Things.

Ecole de Famille: September 2010

http://ecoledefamille.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 10, 2010. Eloise and Carmacita had a wonderful time building a playground for children who otherwise wouldn't have a safe place to play. Eloise quickly made friends with one of the recipients and got him involved in the project. Here they are pictured preparing to paint a hop-scotch. These "Kaboom" projects are truly amazing. Besides all of the work the girls enjoyed eating a free lunch from Subway and hamming it up with local celebrities. Of course she had to search for shells. Eloise ...

The Ray-Mar-kable Libby Kids. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Mom and Daughter Get Away. Away since her brother was also on a far away trip. After our three days of vacationing were up, we headed home. That loooooong trip really only ended up being about 20-30 minutes away from our house. Ha! Rayne was not too happy to discover our mini vacation was just a local trip, but when you live in the DC area, everyday can seem like a vacation. Outside the AG store with Nicki and Rebecca. Kit still hogging the bathroom.

Diary of a 'Houseparent'. Taking 'stay at home parent' to the extreme…. And it continues…. We wipe snotty noses, help with homework, cook massive dinners, see them off to college, change diapers….you know…’mom’ and ‘dad’ stuff. When we aren’t taking care of our biological baby girl, we give the rest of our energy to seven boys who don’t have parents in their lives (for whatever reason) to do it for them. No, I’m not crazy. Diary of a Hungry Fat Man. Monday, June 4, 2012. Day 1, 399 left. I stepped on the scale this morning. Argh! Perspective time. I weigh as much as a motorcycle, a full-grown male lion, and/or an NFL lineman. Sadly, I'm not as fast as the motorcycle; not as fierce as the lion; and not as athletic/well-paid/physically fit as the lineman :-(. Instead of walking around the gym, the PE teacher and I shot around until some 6th graders came in.we then played a quick game of 2-on-2! Sunday, June 3, 2012. Let me t...
