A place to discuss gaming with little men. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Stooge Con 2013 - Part II. I described my army lists in Part I. Of this post. Now I'll give a short report on each of my games. Game 2 vs Teutonic Order (Dave Shepps). Once again, the weather played a critical role in this game. I decided to go with the B List in this game, as I didn't want my Kn(F) fighting the Teutonic Kn(S)! The cavalry attack the Teutonic left wing. While the Dailami attack the right. I had a great time at the event&...

A place to discuss gaming with little men. Saturday, May 05, 2012. I attended the local Stooge Con last weekend at Legions Games in the North Hills (a suburb of Pittsburgh). There were several historical miniatures events: an open DBM event, an open DBA event, and a matched pairs DBA event. For a local con, it was pretty well attended. We had about a dozen guys playing in the DBM event, and I think the DBA events had about 10 each. Later Carthaginian (205BC, in Africa). CinC - Heavy Infantry. I definitel...

A place to discuss gaming with little men. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. On the Table: Later Carthaginians. About four months ago I started playing around with a Later Carthaginian army list. The army is incredibly flexible, which can be a bit intimidated, but allows it to be very powerful. I have done quite well with it, going 4-2-1 in two local tournaments. When I first started, the army was a hodge-podge of figures, some proxy, some correct. And like the Carthaginians, I had bought a good deal of them!

A place to discuss gaming with little men. Monday, November 04, 2013. Book Review: The Devil's Adjutant. I read The Devil's Adjutant. I was inspired to pull out my copy of ASL's KGP maps and scenarios when I got home! I compared the KGP maps with those in the book, and they are pretty similar. I took a quick look at the scenarios, and they seem reasonable, too. The book was published after KGP was released, so it wasn't used as a reference for the game. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

In my previous two posts, I discussed painting an assortment of Muslim troops for my Ayybid Egyptian army. In this post, I will describe the last elements of the army and Saladin himself. They are flanked by several st...
