Monday, July 27, 2009. We're a Little Bit Chicken Fried. We spent a couple of days in Carrollton, GA, on the west side of Atlanta with great friends Kevin and Kim. It was fun to reconnect after our sun filled days in Mexico. They have a beautiful home and were the most gracious hosts. Hailey has decided that she would rather live with them than here. The morning began with a Chinese-entine tea party. Our original plan was to go Denver's famed Brown Palace for high tea, but at $40/person we opted for our own version. Saturday, August 29, 2009. Pikes Peak or Bust! Well, they were excited about the train and very engaged for about 20 minutes of the hour and a half trip up the mountain. Then, it was wiggles and giggles until timberline. When we arrived at the top it was cold. They reminded us of this rather frequently. This is hilarious. There is a note now going around on Facebook where you go to google and enter your name plus the word "needs". It is worth trying it just to see what comes up in your search. Monday, March 8, 2010. Hailey participates in a ski program at Beaver Creek called BEAVO. I think that the only reason it is called this is because the sister progam at Vail is called DEVO which stands for Development. I used to see them skiing all over with their bibs on saying, "DEVO, Vail Skier Development Team" . On the last day, the coaches rally their groups into dressing crazy and just having a zany, fun ski day. Hailey's group really took it to the hilt. But, we wouldn't trade it for the world.
