I do start the radiation part of the grand scheme of things in a few short weeks. I will be taking risks, dealing with fatigue,a "sunburn", some heartburn and a sore throat.but its still not chemo. Pictures to come - once I figure out blogspots issues). June 18, 2010 at 8:17 PM. I just had a very similar conversation with my doc regarding PET scans. Not much evidence that they have any real benefit in the absence of symptoms and they increase your radiation exposure. Her plan for me will be regular physical exams and anual chest X-rays.

I had been in lying awake in bed one morning since 730am convincing myself to refuse any further chemotherapy.
