Didaskalikon: April 2012

http://www.didaskalikon.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 26, 2012. David Litwa on Deification in Paul. A belated congratulations to my friend and colleague, David Litwa on the publication of his book. I read parts while it was in progress, and it is a very learned volume. Litwa's approach is certainly more historical than most approaches to deification, but precisely therein lies its value. If you are interested in Paul, I recommend you read it. I will try to post a review in the near future. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Dan's Blog | A blog on Biblical Studies, the Gospel and life

A blog on Biblical Studies, the Gospel and life. March 13, 2014. I mentioned circumcision once, but I think I got away with it. The Jewish historian Flavius Josephus was no different. In the late first century AD, he wrote a book (or rather 20 books) called. Antiquities of the Jews. It’s basically a story of the Jewish people all the way from creation to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD. It’s a long read, but for us geeks it’s actually really interesting (just doing my job! On the other hand, Josephu...

Según cuenta en la introducción Antonio Penadés descubrió a Heródoto de manera casual, cuando con 17 años preparaba los exámenes de Selectividad en una biblioteca pública.
