Thursday, April 14, 2011. Praying for the Mantis. It's been a turbulent few weeks here on Autumnwatch. Turns out the artist formerly known as 'Washing-line Mantis' from Episode 11, who is presumably now deceased (head bitten off in flagrante perhaps? Had been getting jiggy with a fellow Mantid, resulting in our new house pet, 'Show and Tell' star, 'Mr Mantis Junior.'. Bear in mind, they were afraid of ants when we first arrived! Andy's found a fellow bike afficionado, so the 6.30 Saturday morning lycra fest is underway!
