Walking through life with Crohns as a 20-something year old. Oh happy day :). December 14, 2016. Today has been a day for the books. I honestly never thought I’d ever see this day happening. I’m so excited to announce to my blogger friends, fellow Crohnies, and anyone who follows my blog that I am officially in clinical remission! Side effects from my last blog are starting to get sorted out and somewhat under control btw! Writing this is almost bringing me to tears. I truly have such a good support ...

What is Crohn’s. Living and not just surviving with an autoimmune disease. Monthly Archives: January 2015. Is it like Cancer? January 28, 2015. I’m sure you’ve all faced this question at one point in discussing your illness with people… Eventually in order for someone to help grasp Crohn’s they inevitably ask is it like cancer? When he asked I paused… Is Crohn’s like cancer? Bless my man he asked some very good questions. If they take out part of intestines that’s good right? I’m not sure how to de...

What is Crohn’s. Living and not just surviving with an autoimmune disease. Newer posts →. Pain Pain and more Pain. February 11, 2015. This morning I’m still processing the news of yesterday. I saw my hematologist and my new rhematologist yesterday. A day that really wasn’t physically hard but left me in so much pain I couldn’t believe it. It started me having doubts that returning to work would be a good thing. Either way I think some help is on the way with this new doctor. Good news just keeps on coming.

So much has been going on. I started prepping for returning to work. A long hard very hard journey. But I started last monday three half days… ok so it didn’t quite turn out that way, but I did complete two half days of the three so I’m counting that as a success! Handling life when it’s a mess. Stoma bags and glad rags. Happy Valentine’s Day! February 14, 2016. February 14, 2016. I hope you have all had a fab Valentine’s Day whether single or taken – there’s enough love to go round us all and should be in communities such as the IBD community. We all need support and we all need to know that people are there that love us, whether romantic, platonic, soul mates, best friends or many other types of love. Thought I’d post a photo of my outfit I wore Friday night though to go out for tea:. Notify m...

Sadly I’ve got no actual holiday planned, but just some well needed time off getting out places, relaxing and seeing some great people! I spent the afternoon in York with one of my good friends Chloe. We haven’t seen each other in way too long so it was fantastic to catch up and do what we do best together – shop, chat, laugh, drink coffee and eat! Have a great weekend guys!

They are intended to be a framework allowing another person to use their own illustrations, and creativity to present the information. Digesting Nutrition | Breaking down nutrition information and news, one tasty topic at a time.
Nutrition you can actually use. October 8, 2009 — Monica Amburn. This is my first foray into blog writing, and boy do I have a lot to get off of my chest. Specifically I am ready to talk about nutrition information, and how it is being delivered to us as a society. February 1, 2014. Took a class last Sunday to learn how to actually use my camera. I’m not one to read manuals unless it’s something like a piece of furniture or a barbecue (something I frequently put together in my younger days working in the grandparents family business). I guess I’ve always preferred hands-on learning in a classroom setting with someone more knowledgeable. In Dumbo. The course was Field Guide I: The Camera–and it was well worth the $120. If there is one thing I took away from this cou...
