GardenWeb Teams Up with Houzz | Digging Bliss
http://www.diggingbliss.com/2015/01/gardenweb-teams-up-with-houzz
GardenWeb Teams Up with Houzz. Jan 29, 2015. Just got an e-mail from GardenWeb. 8230; “The Internet’s Largest Home and Garden Community”… announcing its partnership with Houzz. I’m glad I received this e-mail because for the last several years, I thought GardenWeb was defunct! Not only is it not defunct, the forums are all still there, including one of my faves, California Gardening. I’m also partial to their Plant Exchange. GardenWeb is also alive and well on Facebook. On March 2, 2015 at 4:55 pm. IR...

http://weedersgarden.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Links to this post. Wednesday, February 01, 2012. Last day of January. Hopefully this ladybug will manage to hide from the hungry hens! Olive trees should never get to be 40' tall anyway! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Last day of January. Awesome Inc. template. Weeder's Garden: January 2012
http://weedersgarden.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 09, 2012. Let's try this again. (first time I tried this nothing happened. Maybe now it will post twice. Or not at all.) I have been down and out for the past 5 days with a nasty cold/sinus infection. I don't get sick often but seem to do a really good job of it when I do. Somewhere under the dog and the cat is I. Felt almost human this afternoon so wandered outside with my camera and found this lovely grouping. Nobody was picking on Eyelean! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Weeder's Garden: July 2011
http://weedersgarden.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 22, 2011. Though this is growing in the above ground tin pond and doesn't seem to mind wet feet, I don't think it is any sort of bog plant. Is it one of the gazillion campanulas? Links to this post. Thursday, July 14, 2011. Bee Balm and unknown. Finally found the tag for this beautiful Bee Balm. The doe ate everything last year (and 8 years before) and the tags have been misplaced. I miss Doereen but not her appetite! Links to this post. What is attacking my prickly pear? Links to this post.
Weeder's Garden: blue fish planters
http://weedersgarden.blogspot.com/2012/03/blue-fish-planters.html
Wednesday, March 07, 2012. I couldn't help myself. One fish came home with me last Wednesday. Friday morning found me picking up its pal as well. Couldn't have just one! Besides, they had been in the same display at the nursery. I love happy reunions. They've both been planted with Mexican feather grass and string-of-pearls. (Photos soon) I'm so happy to have them because I've recently (since then) been admonished to un-pot most everything else and. Plant it in the ground. Those fish do look potted!

Sacramento Vegetable Gardening: Berries Are for the Birds!
http://sacramentogardening.blogspot.com/2015/05/berries-are-for-birds.html
Berries Are for the Birds! Saturday, May 23, 2015. Arapaho Thornless Blackberry Vine. You bet they are! And Bill and the wife that is Venus Bird like it that way! Welcome to May 2015 - and one of the coolest spring weather patterns I think I've ever experienced in the Sacramento area. That doesn't help much when it comes to summer producing vegetable plants like tomatoes and cucumbers, but the Bird berry patch likes it just fine. The big winner in this year's berry battle in the Bird Back 40? If there is...

Sacramento Vegetable Gardening: August 2014
http://sacramentogardening.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 1, 2014. Lemon Boy Tomatoes-Bird Back 40. The calendar says it's only been two weeks since I last put pen to paper. But to be honest - it seems like eons ago. Three weeks ago life was grand. That pesky Achilles tendon that kept me out of the garden had finally healed up. The boot was off. Bill Bird was back in his element - in the garden where he belongs - blowing through one delayed project after another. And then - wouldn't you know it? It didn't really dawn on me that hauling five gallo...

Sacramento Vegetable Gardening: But Will There be Enough for PIE???
http://sacramentogardening.blogspot.com/2014/06/but-will-there-be-enough-for-pie.html
But Will There be Enough for PIE? Saturday, June 14, 2014. The facetious, bull hockey artist known as yours truly is asking a stupid question. Why is it so stupid? Look at the evidence to your immediate right! Know what that is? That's about 5 lbs. of LIP-SMACKING. Blackberries harvested directly from the Bird Back 40. Know what's so special about this harvest? I'll tell you what's special. It ain't done yet. It's just getting started. That 5 lbs. is a proverbial "drop in the bucket.". Up next is the har...

DiggingBottles.com - Collecting Victorian Bottles. Welcome to DiggingBottles.com! This site has been created to share the many interests in Victorian Bottle Collecting. Bottle collecting is a hobby for all ages. Collecting something that was probably hand made over 100 years ago makes it a very fascinating hobby. Pete could see how interested I was and so invited me to his house to see his collection: he had many bottles, ginger beers, pot lids and his favourite items clay figural pipes.

Digging by Debating is a collaborative research project involving two teams at Indiana University in the USA and three teams in the UK: University of Dundee, University of East London and University of London. Our goal is to marry high level views of huge collections of text to the kinds of detailed argumentative analysis that is central to much scholarly research and public discussion of science and humanities.
