Final Wrap-Up! | Mathematics in Web 2.0
https://diggingdeeperweb2.wordpress.com/2012/07/03/final-wrap-up
Mathematics in Web 2.0. July 3, 2012. This class has been very informative and fun! I have enjoyed “digging deeper” into my technology side! I enjoyed having this class in the summer to focus on all of the projects! I wanted to be in the later class to be with my “math peeps” but I am glad I stuck with the first class. I was able to see a wide range of tools and try to apply them in a math classroom! I enjoyed iGoogle and still use it as my homepage! I ended making an artifact from one of their groups be...
Differential Calculus Quiz | Mathematics in Web 2.0
https://diggingdeeperweb2.wordpress.com/2012/07/03/differential-calculus-quiz
Mathematics in Web 2.0. July 3, 2012. I have been to Sporcle. Before playing random games. I didn’t know it could be used for educational purposes till searching for math. I found simple math quizes like addition and multiplication but I didn’t think there would be higher level math quizes like for Calculus! I went off of a quiz on derivatives that I found. I can easily see myself making these for my students. They are a great tool to help students their quick reflexes on math skills!
Enhanced Podcast | Mathematics in Web 2.0
https://diggingdeeperweb2.wordpress.com/2012/06/28/enhanced-podcast-3-2
Mathematics in Web 2.0. June 28, 2012. I really enjoyed making an enhanced podcast! I think in math they are more useful than a regular podcast because students can watch problems or formulas pop up in front of them instead of trying to see a formula in their head. I made my enhanced podcast in Movie Maker. I would have liked to use iMovie but the computer lab has PC’s and I have a PC at home as well. This entry was posted in Web 2.0. Digging Deeper Into Math
Digging Deeper Into Math. Monday, June 9, 2014. Summer is here.Yippeee! Today I listened to a news story discussing how much time our students have off due to summer break. From kindergarten to 5th grade, they have 15 months of summer! Summer is an important break from "book" learning, but there's no need for students to slide. Your phone most likely has a great app to help them with walking, biking, or driving (you, not them! They will learn how far a mile is only when they have multiple experiences.
