The Continuing Adventures of Patrick, Nora, Stuey, Tank, Sheba and Bruno. Thursday, January 12, 2017. Last night while skating at Abercrombie Stuey and I caught the moonrise. It came up out of the ocean at the end of the lake and framed itself in the trees growing out of the spit behind the beach. My little point and shoot camera had a hard time capturing it in the low light, but I just had to try! I wonder where on the horizon the moon will rise tonight? Labels: Activities with Kids. This time Stuey tried hockey skates but it turned out he prefers the long blade skates instead. He ended up skating for 4 hours and by the end he was getting pretty good. Anyway, as we were packing up to leave Eric M showed up with his ice auger and ice fishing equipment. Stuey and Nora were intrigued, and watched as Eric bored a hole in the ice. Yesterday the kids had 'early release' from St Mary's - or, as I call it, 'they got out on parole'. In any case, no school and a glorious afternoon. So I took them ice skating on the lake in the park. And best of all we had it entirely to ourselves. Go Go Go Stuey Go. Speed - and hey are you watching where you are going? Nora's pretty heavy there Stuey!
