Trade Team Update - EURO/USD Holistic Analysis
http://holisticforex.blogspot.com/2008/10/trade-team-update_21.html
Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Two words can be used to describe today's market action. ill-liquidity and risk. While it seemed many traders were scratching their heads to figure out what the problem was today, we're basically just seeing a repeat perfomance of yesterday with even less liquidty and more risk aversion behaviors. That move right there in Treasuries is enough to signal extreme risk aversion which means the euro will be dead in the water, the dollar will be supported, and that it likely won't ma...

EURO/USD Holistic Analysis: June 2008
http://holisticforex.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2008. For being the last day of the quarter the market's were relatively quiet. Typically they euro will win the day but this wasn't the case this go around for the end of the quarter. The euro did make some decent early morning gains as oil made a new all-time high inching its way to almost $144. In addition, we saw Eurozone CPI print hotter than expected at a staggering rate of 4.00%. So the question on the minds of traders is why did the euro drop? In addition, ECB's Jean-Claude Junke...

Sunday, October 12, 2008. EUR/USD Weekly Outlook 10/12 thur 10/17 2008. Once again we start the week with more questions than answers, more unknowns, more speculation, and more save-the-world rhetoric from the world’s top central bankers, finance ministers and politicians. Take decisive action and use all available tools to support systemically important financial institutions and prevent their failure. Ensure that our respective national deposit insurance and guarantee programs are robust and consistent...

EURO/USD Holistic Analysis: February 2008
http://holisticforex.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Yesterday was certainly the calm before the storm! We've got a ton of stuff to cover in today's update. First, we're going to look at what brought us to the doorstep of 1.5000 during the NY session, then we're going to look at what took us up and over 1.5000 right after NY closed and we'll accomplish this via a lesson I'd like to call "Stop Hunting 101," then we'll close with a brief interesting look at the euro/Dow correlation. PPI and the Fed:. There's a common trading "tech...

EURO/USD Holistic Analysis: May 2008
http://holisticforex.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 29, 2008. Well we certainly had heightened volatility acrossed the board today thanks to the commodities market. if today was a little frustrating with your trading, I was left feeling the same way. Once again we saw the euro get punished for the sell-off's with gold and oil. Oil lost over 3% of its value today while gold dropped over $25. the euro simply didn't stand a chance to hold any ground against the dollar with those kinds of moves. 1 I want to be right. German Retail Sales: EUR-.

Trade Team Update - EURO/USD Holistic Analysis
http://holisticforex.blogspot.com/2008/10/trade-team-update_15.html
Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Yet again we have another day of brutal US economic and financial data, panic on Wall St., and somehow the dollar comes out smelling like a rose. While it doesn't come as a surprise it's certainly frustrating. as I indicated last night and this morning, the Dow would likely come under pressure and take a hit which would pull the euro down with it. Is the Fed so nieve to think that rate cuts would really help the housing market? I believe this is going to be an extremely rough...
