Freedom of the wordpress. What is Digital Humanities? Digital Résumé, draft #1. Though it may appear a slap-dash approach to the suggestion that each class member create a digital résumé for him/herself, this week’s exercise has actually been a great way for me to practice the art of the succinct. A skill which, all too often, eludes me. As you can see below, I have broken down my résumé into three categories: experience, interests, and areas of necessary improvement. And tagged children's literature.

Freedom of the wordpress. What is Digital Humanities? Take 2: A Look At Liu. This week’s reading got me thinking. Being completely honest, I felt very out of my depth with Alan Liu’s “The State of the Digital Humanities”. It was as though DH speaks in a language that is utterly separate to the broad vocabulary I felt I had amassed throughout my 4 years of studying English (watch out, there’s that infamous literary ego again). I find memes fascinating for the aptness with which something so sparse in text...

Freedom of the wordpress. What is Digital Humanities? Believe it or not, this first foray of mine in to HTML has taken the best part of 2 weeks to piece together. I am, in equal parts, delighted at the magical transformation of the submitted code, and frustrated at how long it is taking me to understand even the most basic elements of computer language. While I started off using the tutorials on W3Schools. I eventually downloaded Komodo Edit. Center h1 Children’s Literature /h1. Books” ChildrenR...

Freedom of the wordpress. What is Digital Humanities? Electronic Collaboration in the Humanities – Chapter 17. I have been neglecting my blog shamefully this last week or so, as I have been caught up with a project on which I have been working with a few other MADAH members (details to follow). I think I can be forgiven, however, given the relevance of such work to the topic of this week’s reading assignment. The assignment was for us each to read a chapter of. By Paul J. Morris II.
