Among all the other rhetoric flying around about health care, one sentiment keeps jumping out at me. I've heard it repeated in several places by a variety of people: "if all these people are so angry about the president's plan, why is no one proposing any alternative solutions? 3) Demand for healthcare is not likely to decrease as the population grows.

And then we rearranged the entire apartment. And I have had a good post-Thanksgiving Friday. Slept late, spent the morning slacking off (mainly playing Bookworm Adventures) and have spent the afternoon and evening rearranging furniture. Viciously attacked by a sidewalk! Walking home from the bus yesterday, I tripped over a broken place in the sidewalk. I took a really bad spill; I skinned my knees and chin (and, mysteriously, my right breast! And hurt my arm. The arm hurt badly enough that I ended up asking. Blergh. Help me make a who is betsi soundtrack! June 15th, 2006 (01:11 pm). I got on the treadmill, in hopes that the whole exercise-endorphins thing might help my mood (and, yknow, cuz I'm trying to do it regularly to lose some weight). And through the magic of the shuffle function, I was reminded of how fantastic " I'm Coming Out. So I was thinking, maybe it's time for a new playlist on the treadmill, and for that matter while at the computer, a sort of self-improvement soundtrack. Any suggestions? VNV Nation ...

Stocking shopping, the saga continues. And I drove out to the Natingham area* to do some stocking shopping. We hit The Container Store first because I'd seen them advertise the daylights out of there stocking stuffer selections online, and I didn't want to pay shipping. The best win? Silicone coffee cooleys. Like a tea cozy keeps your tea warm, these keep your hand from scalding when you get coffee on the go. Natick/Framingham. Like Camberville, but more shopping and less geeks.
