These devoted club members contribute many hours per month to make the club a success. The majority of work at the IDC, from cashiering, decorating, purchasing supplies, etc is done by volunteers. The International Dance Club provides free beginners dance lessons for its members. Non-members can attend, but they will be asked to consider joining after trying out the program for three classes OR support the club by attending some of the Sat. night dances. Proceeds from raffles, bingo, and dances were collected and saved to form part of a down payment. Prizes for raffles and bingo, including beautiful quilts created by some members, were donated by members and others. Some members loaned significant amounts of money to finance the purchase of the facility and to make necessary improvements. PLEASE NOTE: the Ballroom Dances will be on the first Saturday of each month with all other Saturdays offering a wide arrangement of music from Big Band to Country, Latin, Polka, etc. For additional info on any event or dance, call the club at 633-0195 and leave a message. NO outside beverages are to be brought in by non members. This includes water. Schedule 7:00-10:00 pm. $8 for Members, $10 non Members. We are a private club (non members are always welcome! In Colorado Springs with our own facility and all types of couples dancing. Our regular Saturday dances have an even mix of Big Band, Country, Latin, Polka, Swing, etc. The first Saturday of each month is devoted to classic Ballroom dancing. A few of our bands include:. Pete Dundas Band provides a great variety as ALL of our bands do. Pete will usually play a medley of all military branch theme songs, sometime during the evening. As each branch is played, people dance for their particular branch. Everyone stands clapping them on.
