Digital Robots | Sarasi's Digital Voice
https://digmediaclass.wordpress.com/2009/10/20/digital-robots
Sarasi's Digital Voice. When we think of robots we perhaps think of C3P0 and R2D2 from Star Wars , Robocop, the Bicentennial Man, Sonny from I Robot, The Terminator, Gigolo Joe from the epic Artificial Intelligence , Optimus Prime or even Disney’s own little Wall-E. The robot I’m talking about is of an entirely different kind as it is a chat bot. She is called A.L.I.C.E. 8211; the brainchild of Dr. Richard S. Wallace. Image thanks to JeromeProphet. Sarasi's Digital Voice. Archive for September, 2009. Before delving into talking about blogging, I think it is important to find a definition for it. However it is not easy as it sounds because blogging encompasses a number of categories because it can include news summaries, opinion columns or even official press release collections. These blogs rarely have more than two followers reiterating Gawker executive Nick Denton’s view:. 1 No constructive criticism came out of it. 2 It seemed more worth my whil...

Sarasi's Digital Voice. The Problem With Saying ‘Maybe Attending’. Has myriads of posts done about it already but well I just want to talk about one part of it – the Events function. Ever since the arrival of that , it seems people have given up on the old-fashioned method of sending everybody a paper invite with all the event details. Remember all those colourful invitation paper packs in the stationery shops with matching envelopes? Frankly, I find this to be the less rude of the two options since it g...

https://digmediaclass.wordpress.com/2009/10/14/the-wonderful-world-of-anime
Sarasi's Digital Voice. The Wonderful World of Anime – Assignment 3 Part 2. This article was written for the website. Because it is a hub for talking about anime within Australia where it only reaches a very niche market. It follows a blog format and uses links and images so the style has been emulated in the following content. Death Note is a wonderful Japanese anime based on the manga written by Tsugumi Ohba. And illustrated by manga artist, Takeshi Obata. The plot and violence garnered a high level of...

Mistakes Being Marked: Email: Obsolete?
http://mistakesbeingmarked.blogspot.com/2009/10/email-obsolete.html
Friday, October 16, 2009. By now we're all familiar with the imminent death of newspapers, the imminent death of CDs, the imminent death of television, etc. But the other day I came across an idea that I'd never considered: the imminent death of email. That got my attention. Email went mainstream only fifteen years ago, but it's now an essential part of daily life; to imagine it being completely replaced (already? Is bizarre. But this article. Email was better suited to the way we used. Threads. Emai...
