Monday, November 24, 2008. Ivy's playroom part 2. Throw around a bunch of excuses, but I'll just try to start posting again. Older stuff will follow, so un-bunch them panties! Did a remod on Ivy's playroom in time for her birthday. Yeah, she turned 2 on Nov. 14th, I'll get to it! We ditched the used diaper color in favor of "Yellow Lettuce.". Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Yesterday evening I broke out a bag of potato chips in the kitchen and Ivy came RUNNING. If all her food could come in chip and puff form she'd be a happy camper. Anyway, she comes running up with her standard, "Please! I've become a little obsessed with picking up Step 2's Main Street Village collection for Ivy. I like the design much better than the Fisher Price stuff(especially FP's tubby little people, WTF! Harmless play or portents of the future? You be the judge.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Got this idea from a friend up in Cleveland. They sell these utility buckets at Lowe's for around 6 bucks and they kinda make great toddler pools! Nothing to inflate, it fills up in about 3 minutes flat and the water seems to warm up in the sun fairly quickly as well. Ivy loves it for a quick dip, and the gay Dad in me is loving the ease of use. Gay dad" doesn't even cover it. And also - and for serious - this is a really great idea! So far I have learned:. 4 Utility bucket = pool.

Some folks looking back on 2008 may recall Michael Phelps winning all that gold in China, or our economy going straight down the shitter, or how we ALL had the chance to DO THE RIGHT THING! Round theseaheeahpahts, however, 2008 will go down in history as the year of the Great Walnut Drop! Now I like trees as much as the next guy, maybe even more, but these damn things are a filthy menace. Especially the giant one near our brand new driveway. Makes ya want to cry, don't it?
