Homemade Bread & Cheese | Dining With DINKS
https://diningwithdinks.com/2014/04/02/homemade-bread-cheese
Welcome to Dining With DINKS. When Your Israeli Husband Craves Falafel … →. Homemade Bread and Cheese. April 2, 2014. Warm, crusty and right out of the oven — heavenly. Although I would love to make homemade bread and cheese weekly, it’s the kind of thing I have to make sparingly. Both are just too deliciously warm and fresh when first made, so will-power is just about non-existent. I rarely bake bread, but this was the easiest, most low-maintenance bread recipe. As for the homemade cheese. Meal in a Bowl.

Welcome to Dining With DINKS. Homemade Bread and Cheese →. November 29, 2013. I’ll take a quick break from our European travels to mention the ultimate food holiday — Thanksgiving. Just dear husband and me at home this year with a 12 pound fresh birdie from the farmer’s market. The bird was juicy and delicious thanks to an easy dry brine. Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Stilton and Fried Sage. The menu was sparse given it was just the two of us, but I also included my all-time favorite cranberry sauce. Enter...

Welcome to Dining With DINKS. Turkey Day →. November 26, 2013. It’s not only my new favorite word, it’s my new favorite pasta shape. It’s a fat, solid, strand noodle made with whole wheat flour so it delivers a wonderfully nutty, almost creamy taste and texture. We devoured piles of it outside a restaurant in Venice where the chef was hand-rolling the noodles in the kitchen — delightful! Traditional Venetian Bigoli in Salsa: Bigoli pasta with a sauce of onions and anchovies. Bigoli with Pomodoro Sauce.

dining with di | a few of my favorite recipes. bon appetit!
A few of my favorite recipes. bon appetit! September 9, 2012. Weekend breakfasts are more leisurely than breakfasts during the week. On Sundays, my husband and I like to start the day by relaxing; reading the newspaper and enjoying a nice breakfast. This is a wonderful recipe for a weekend morning. It’s easy, uses ingredients that I typically have on hand and comes together quickly. The recipe comes from “ Cooking at Home” by The Culinary Institute. 4 large eggs, yolks and whites separated. Divide the eg...

Monday, June 24, 2013. Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars. A few weeks ago I was looking for a quick recipe for chocolate chip cookies to bring to a meeting with me. I was feeling rather lazy, and the thought of spooning a bunch of cookies one by one did not sound fun. I called my mom because she always has the best advice when it comes to cookies, and it was a good decision. She pointed me to the back of my chocolate chip bag. Them I might change that habit after this experience. 3/4 cup brown sugar. Dump all t...

A Pastry Chef's journey with early onset Parkinson's. Asymp; Leave a comment. I haven’t written anything in a very long time, and the reason for my silence isn’t something I’m proud of. I’ve given up on myself. The bad days outnumber the good to the point where I find myself hiding in that dark shadow that is cast between giving up and finding new hope. I’m beyond repair I think. Broken, shattered, crushed, none of those quite fit. I’m not destroyed yet, but I will be, I have to find ...I hate this disea...
