Dining With Goldilocks: April 2013
http://diningwithgoldilocks.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Kind of a diary. Except public. And mostly about food allergies. Thursday, April 11, 2013. A Little Chef's Card Victory. First, a confession: We don't go out to eat with the kids very often for a variety of reasons, one of which happens to be avoiding food allergy hassles. And by "hassles" I mean both cross-contamination risk and the hassle of having to talk to restaurant staff about allergies. There, I said it. I am not very practiced at it, and so I still feel.shy? Like I am bothering them? Joe called ...
Dining With Goldilocks: Don't Count Your Chickens Before They Hatch
http://diningwithgoldilocks.blogspot.com/2010/01/dont-count-your-chickens-before-they.html
Kind of a diary. Except public. And mostly about food allergies. Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Don't Count Your Chickens Before They Hatch. Or your eggs before you've eaten them, as the case may be. So much for my motherly intuition! Georgia failed her egg challenge. (Um, did you read my last post? Well, don't I look like the fool! Silver lining here is that she may be able to eat eggs in baked goods, so at least some good news came out of yesterday's appointment. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dont ...
Dining With Goldilocks: Clear as mud
http://diningwithgoldilocks.blogspot.com/2011/04/clear-as-mud.html
Kind of a diary. Except public. And mostly about food allergies. Friday, April 15, 2011. As much as I tried to put the most positive spin on our E.R. trip in the last post, Joe and I realized after having a few days to let it soak in that the experience left us with a lot of unanswered questions. I've since had another conversation with the allergist to clear up some of our confusion, so I thought I'd share the additional insight. (. Okay, lawyerly disclaimer over. So, what really happened Sunday night?
Dining With Goldilocks: February 2012
http://diningwithgoldilocks.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Kind of a diary. Except public. And mostly about food allergies. Monday, February 27, 2012. Oh, hello there! All of that said, I have made connections on this blog with other families dealing with food allergies ( sidenote. My apologies to those of you to whom I owe emails; it's nothing personal but I've been terrible about correspondence lately), plus I like having some record of Georgia's progress, so I'm not yet interested in totally foregoing this blog or shutting it down. Anyway, it was a gorgeous f...
Dining With Goldilocks: May 2011
http://diningwithgoldilocks.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Kind of a diary. Except public. And mostly about food allergies. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Are Food Allergies Funny? I know that post title makes it sound like I'm about to go off on a diatribe about how food allergies are. Funny, but I honestly mean the question sincerely and would be very curious to hear your thoughts, especially if you (or your child) do not have food allergies. I am always interested to hear the viewpoint of people not so immersed in the allergy world as I am. The more uptight part of m...

http://suzinnewyork.blogspot.com/2013/08/lunch-box.html
The stories of a Texan livin' it up in NYC. Monday, August 05, 2013. Sometimes I just don't have enough hours in the day to do a big post, especially one that is going to include lots of pictures to sort through, select, and edit. So, some days this month, I might just pick 1 single picture and tell the story. Like yesterday. With the NHL cup. And one beautiful afternoon, I managed to get back to the Lunch Box for one more #10. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Taking It All In.

The stories of a Texan livin' it up in NYC. Saturday, September 29, 2012. I've GOT to press on and get this blog wrapped up. Not only do I want to get my pictures and thoughts documented from my last year in NYC, I have to get the pictures off my camera because both my memory cards are at capacity! At the time, we did not know this was where we would go to share a last meal before MY move. But, it ended up being much more than a 4-course meal (which K&D also warned us of). They brought us several thi...

Are We There Yet?: Dipping a toe back into the waters of employment
http://turnthiscararound.blogspot.com/2014/08/as-if-eeking-out-every-summer-adventure.html
Are We There Yet? Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Dipping a toe back into the waters of employment. As if eeking out every summer adventure we have time for while ignoring the impending reality of 'back to school', all while heading into Cake Month (as we call it around here) wasn't already enough, I also started a new job last week. Part time, from home,. This system worked pretty well for the call that was scheduled. Our note passing system did not work so well for an unplanned call that I felt I had t...

It looks like a bullet that should travel at sonic speeds. Alas,. Madrid to Granada was a 4.5 hour ride. Most of my train pictures were blurry. Such pretty countryside though! The trip from Madrid to Granada was filled with mountains. And fields full of red flowers.loved! I'm on a train! We spent a lot of time wandering thru the narrow.
SUSAN TAKES MANHATTAN: Spain! - Seville, Day 1
http://suzinnewyork.blogspot.com/2013/08/spain-seville-day-1.html
The stories of a Texan livin' it up in NYC. Monday, August 12, 2013. Seville, Day 1. Once we were settled in our hotel, we set out to explore. Triana is right on the river, so we walked there first knowing there were cafes all along the water. We chose Ruta dia Plata for lunch. It was good - the highlight was warm goat cheese with walnuts and honey - yum! We ran into a BK to get Michelle a diet coke and I thought. This advertisement was hilarious! Apparently, all you need. I always love good city parks&#...
