http://dinointhedryer.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 23, 2014. In case you haven’t caught up, we’re having a baby! A little girl actually! The boys are beyond excited and cannot wait for her to arrive. I on the other hand have been having reservations ever since they declared that we were having a sister. The Super Big Brothers announce that they are getting a sister! She kicked my thumb! The night before the 20 week ultrasound I took the boys to dinner so I could talk to them about the baby:. H: It’s a sister. T: Yup, it’s a sister.

Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Why Military Kids Are So Cool- A response to the DoDLive Post by Katie Lange. But then, my day becomes different from yours: The phone rings. The boys know the familiar tune of the FaceTime ring. They jump up as it rings and rings. "Mooooommmm" they say as they give me a glare because I cannot answer the phone with banana on my hands. Finally, my hands are damp, but clean-ish, I slide the bar. "Hi Daddy! They say as they crowd around me. "Are you sleeping? MREs aren't cool....

There's A Dino In The Dryer: June 2014

Friday, June 20, 2014. The Past Cannot Be Forgotten. Three years ago, today, I was sitting on the patio at my Dad's house enjoying a nice, hot, beautiful, Michigan vacation with family, when my phone rang. It was my husband, of course I answered it. On the other end, there was a lot of noise and my husband frantically said, "What do you want me to save? I was completely confused. No "Hello" or greeting, just a question. I walked away from my family and went to my room. "What? What are you talking about?

Monday, April 11, 2016. The Life of a Military Kid- The PCS. Is this what you want in our new house? I asked calmly and at his eye level. He nodded proudly. "You did a really great job packing your stuff. This isn't for the car though, it's for the truck, right? We'll put it in the moving truck and pack your backpack with toys right before we leave, right? I asked, trying to get back to our original conversation about how he didn't need to pack his play things right now. Once again I told him we weren't ...

Monday, April 4, 2016. NOTE: This is an old post, from five years ago and I wanted to honor every woman and man who have felt pain from a miscarriage. We found out today that I did in fact miscarry. There aren’t really words to describe how I feel right now: anger, sadness, and exhaustion (both mentally and physically) are just a few of the emotions I’ve gone through these past few hours. I’m not pregnant? I was just a week ago, how is that possible? What to Expect Books. 8221; He asks. “I don&...I don&#...

Wednesday, March 25, 2015. My Hands Are Full. Recently I had this conversation:. Me: Excuse me, I signed my kids up for story time, but I'm not sure when the session ends. Librarian: It will end May 13th. Do you want me to write that down? Me: No, I've got it. I may not remember the day but I'll remember that it's a teen and I'll go from there. Because you look like you might forget. Me: I've got it, I'll get the right week, thank you. Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Or that you got up? She was was hushed and ...

Dancing with Waves: December 2014
http://dancingwithwaves.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 22, 2014. It is almost Christmas! This year the Santa discussion has com up several times and I have been asked if we, as a Christian family, "do Santa." I can tell you whole heartedly yes, we "do Santa" and I LOVE having him as part of our Christmas! My children love seeing Santa and hearing that he will bring gifts, but they also love that we will celebrate Jesus' birthday! Why not put this wonderful gift into a way that they can understand? There's A Dino In The Dryer: Untitled- Part One
http://dinointhedryer.blogspot.com/2016/04/untitled-part-one.html
Monday, April 4, 2016. NOTE: This is an old post. In honor of many friends going through this, I felt I should share my story, again, on a more public scale. And so, on the five year anniversary, I share with you the pain of the M word. Saturday, April 9th will be a day I never forget. It’s a day that I feel that I must write about so I can truly express my feelings and thoughts. It’s a day that changed my life forever. That's the best name they could come up with? The doctor told me that I had to wait u...

Wednesday, March 23, 2016. A Letter To My Introvert From your Extrovert Mother. As we reach Spring Break I am baffled by how quickly your first year of school has gone by. It seems like yesterday I was crying when I dropped you off at Pre-school and now, we're approaching our last day of Kindergarten. I promise you, it will be here before you know it.
