I go back into regular therapy starting Monday. I’ve been procrastinating on going back in on a regular basis, but I’m going back because I realized recently that I’m not really ok about some things. A few random thoughts. 1) I’m knocking on a year since the ex moved out. Much progress has been made, but my romantic life feels like it’s at a standstill. 2) I realize today I can’t remember the last time I said I love you in a romantic way and meant it. The ex and I stopped saying it at some point that I can’t quite pinpoint. I miss that. It’s hard living life without romantic love. It’s even harder when you start to lose hope of finding it. Yeah, it does to me too…. Of course, but testing boundaries is normal and yes, you should make boundaries clear with kids, but my mom didn’t understand you could do that without treating the kid badly. I say all that to say that the more I think about this, the more I’m sure I don’t want kids. The amount of baggage my mom passed on to me is frightening and I don’t want to do that to a child.
