small conversations: January 2010

Saturday, January 23, 2010. Spring Cleaning in Feb. Turns out Spring comes early in Cairo, or in actuality, winter never really came so we had an extended Fall that is running into the season of Spring. Spring Cleaning took on many forms for me the past 24 hours. First, I decided to do an overall of my room. This is no easy task since some of the furniture has real marble tops, you didn't know I was living the high life, did you? In all honesty, I haven't been happy since I landed in Egypt, even before t...

small conversations: September 2009

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Come and See (Reflective Post, Ending with an Update: You can make it! Today, I felt myself, my full self, seeping through my barricaded lips. Is this transition or assimilation? And can we ever become someone different, than who we are? Yet, I find myself easily in a trance to get from here to there and back, easily ignoring the wishes of St. Francis: attentiveness and hope for something beyond what I see. I miss seeing you all face to face. Peace be with you! Well it turn...

small conversations: Horses and a Night Light
http://littleflowersofthedesert.blogspot.com/2011/01/horses-and-night-light.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Horses and a Night Light. I’ve decided to live. Now don’t become alarmed, let me continue. Recently the reality was faced that I am prone to the Big D. To spell it out the d-e-p-r-e-s…ok. You on board now? No matter how hard I’ve tried to deny the existence of this sneaky dragon, it always rears backs and sets my door to life a flame leaving me without an exit. That is until…dun dun dun…I slayed the dragon. I said it. Ha! Also, I’m searching out part-time work to help m...

small conversations: August 2010
http://littleflowersofthedesert.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 1, 2010. It appears that I'll have a wide variety of "duties" such as your standard date entry concerning finances and grant information, being involved in the various aspects of the clients' lives with occasionally counseling and crisis intervention, supervising intakes and referrals, being the liaison with volunteers/community, and the one task that will be the most challenging, evicting clients that are unable to follow the rules of the program. I don't think so. Peace and a good word:.

Thursday, October 28, 2010. Almighty God, we remember before you today your faithful. Servant, Evelyn and we pray that, having opened to her the gates. Of larger life, you will receive her more and more into your. Joyful service, that, with all who have faithfully served you in. The past, she may share in the eternal victory of Jesus Christ. Our Lord; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the. Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. Will I ever overcome this grief? View my complete profile.
