The Worst Acronym | theZeph

Namely, fit for a dog. Did Not Finish (DNF). Okay, that may be a bit melodramatic. There are worse acronyms. DOA, SOL, GOP – all. But for an endurance athlete (again, I use that term loosely) having those three letters show up next to your name on the results page of any race is disheartening. Especially a race you were all geeked about. So what happened at Pierre’s Hole? I had nothing from the word go. After twenty-five miles still nothing. No spark. No passion. No energy. Yep That was me. Truthfully, f...

Namely, fit for a dog. The Most Dreaded Request. I’m not looking forward to the drive home tonight. Well, not so much the drive as the “errand” on the way. Here’s the text exchange between theWife and I this afternoon:. For a minute there I thought I had wriggled out of it. She didn’t buy it. Things only got worse from there:. Namely, fit for a dog. Park City Point 2 Point Race Report. Some days you are the hammer and some days you get the crap kicked out of you and then have your nose rubbed in it. My experience last Saturday at the PCP2P, was pretty much the latter. Me and JJ rolling out at the start. After the race, JJ said “this was the fun part.”. But all the dust aside, Round Valley really is good trail and the first 8 miles were a lot of fun. Which was a bonus, because the next 50 miles weren’t…so much. 8220;Well, fine ...

J&A Adventures: Grand Canyon teaser - Annie reveals a mental block
http://whitesadventures.blogspot.com/2012/09/grand-canyon-teaser-annie-reveals.html
Adventures from the White House. Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Grand Canyon teaser - Annie reveals a mental block. Maybe timid on occasion, but she'll walk herself over it without coercion. Leave the ground for a few seconds with a nice soft landing in a pool of water at the bottom - frozen stiff. Training to break through this mental/physical block started right when we got back and has gone great - she's already leaping off curbs. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow me on Twitter. STUPIDBIKE: Conflict
http://stupidbike.blogspot.com/2011/08/conflict.html
Obsessively attempting to dry wet blankets, since 1968. Monday, August 08, 2011. I was dreading August 6th, the race was to be hard and Amanda. Made it sound even harder. I was feeling fit and ready though and Lyna returned from Kentucky Wednesday, so Friday we packed up and headed to Grand Targhee. Drew and Ty both bailed, for separate reasons, so it was Boffeli and I doing the 100, Lyna doing the 50 and Jen. Playing photographer and support. Leg muscles - Check. Left Knee - fail. Ryan 13th Pro Men.
