andrewtheshaw: Relationally Thinking
http://andrew-the-shaw.blogspot.com/2010/08/relationally-thinking.html
Tuesday, August 17, 2010. The easy answer is through the Holy Spirit, through the Word of God (the Bible), and through prayer/meditation. This doesn't quite satisfy me though. So I started to ponder it and think through some of the practical issues with that. Here are my results:. 1 We are relational creatures made in God's image and therefore must have relationships in order to operate as we are designed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). andrewtheshaw: Philippians 1:9-11
http://andrew-the-shaw.blogspot.com/2011/11/philippians-19-11.html
Monday, November 7, 2011. And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. This passage has been stuck in my head for several weeks now. I keep going back to it. I keep thinking of Paul's prayer for the Philippians. Are you living the American Christian dream?

While it isn't the primary emphasis of what Paul is saying, we can realize and apply the concept of being around those who are not believers who fit those descriptions. How many times in the last year have you intentionally gone to a place that you don't feel comfortable with the intention of reaching people with the Gospel? Logos Brewing: Vinnie's Pliny
http://logosbrewing.blogspot.com/2012/11/vinnies-pliny.html
Postings about brews and the Logos. Monday, November 19, 2012. I've brewed Pliny the Elder several times now, each slightly different. This one is also different. However, this is the official recipe given out by Vinnie at Russian River for Pliny. He's awesome, he gives out the recipe to one of the best commercially made beers in the world. What other breweries do that? Buttwiper sure doesn't, and their beer is crap. So here is what you have been waiting for. 55 gallons (so you end up with 5). If you enj...

Logos Brewing: Behind the ball...
http://logosbrewing.blogspot.com/2013/02/behind-ball.html
Postings about brews and the Logos. Thursday, February 14, 2013. Man, I've been behind on this blog. I've brewed a couple times since my last post. I think I've made the Drop Top Amber clone. Again (for my sister-in-laws wedding which I also performed; I know, I'm a modern Friar Tuck), a ten gallon of a Total Domination. Variation, and my Black Eye PA. The recipes can be accessed by following the links as they were remakes of prior brews. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Test IPA 1.0. Buy Me A Beer!

Logos Brewing: New Fermenter!
http://logosbrewing.blogspot.com/2013/08/new-fermenter.html
Postings about brews and the Logos. Monday, August 5, 2013. In my constant search for better homebrewing methods, I have come across a great tool. Fermentation is such a key part of producing good beer and so easy to see go bad in a hurry. Plus, I typically brew 10-11 gallon batches at a time, thus needing two buckets and two packs of yeast. I've started using more starters with my brewing which greatly speeds up fermentation as well as reduces the opportunity for infection. Enter, the new fermenter!

Postings about brews and the Logos. Monday, August 15, 2011. I ran out of stout after giving most of a keg to some friends for their housewarming party, so I needed to brew something dark to keep on tap. I was really psyched on how this turned out last time. So I'm repeating that recipe. Click the link, I didn't feel like retyping it! Brewed on August 4 in the afternoon. A nice sunny warm day! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
