Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Surgery on my Neck. It is common for many individuals with SCI to experience chronic or acute pain. Given our situations, we usually require the use of a wheelchair. This means lack of movement, possible curvature of the spine, along with pain resulting in posture and positioning. I’ll keep you updated as things move on afterword and how I’m feeling. Friday, November 28, 2008. If I didn't have the Baclofen pump my spasms would be much worse than the description in the first paragraph. I would probably have to restrain my arms and legs to my bed rails, and hope that I wouldn't fly out of the bed. I am very thankful for my Baclofen pump and am excited to get the new one. We are an entirely voluntary organisation whose aim is to bring the joys of snow sports to disabled people. We train volunteers and work with disabled people on dry ski slopes in Wales. Holidays and courses are arranged on snow in Europe. Specialised equipment is used where necessary with helpers being specifically trained in its use. We are always looking for non disabled helpers whether you are able to ski or not. The 5 main requirements we meet for this are:. 1st Saturday in each month).
