Wednesday, August 02, 2006. George Beeton Alderson (1844 - 1926) was the father of George Alexander Alderson. George Beeton was the son of George Frederick Alderson and Maria Davis. George Beeton was one of 7 children, 5 boys and 2 girls. George Beeton gave the land to Victoria College to build the school there. See link. See also photos of plaques commemorating his gifts.
