What does a player need to play soccer? Each player needs to provide their own soccer shoes (cleats) and shin pads. Our club will provide a team jersey, shorts and socks. To apply for funding to help pay for your child’s fees, go to www.kidsportcanada.ca. Click “Find a Chapter”, choose Kelowna, and follow the instructions. When will I hear from my child’s coach? When does the season start? About mid-April. It depends on field conditions the date is set by the City and the Schoolboard. See the chart below.

Watch the BC Soccer website. For the following courses to be offered. When a course is available, go into the coaches section, register with the coaches centre, then register for the course. These are the coaching certifications offered:. Learn to Train (U9-U12). Soccer for Life (U13 ). All coaches are required by COYSA to be certified before the start of the 2016 season.
