Sunday, February 20, 2005. It's Spring Training, and I'm a White Sox fan, so clearly optimism is in full bloom. National prognosticators aside, I am quite happy with the changes to the team this offseason. I find it strange that there are a number of things a team can do to reduce its competitiveness, yet the national (and local) media often forget these things. Here are a few that come to mind at the moment:. 1) Teams do not win with a significant percentage of their payroll tied up by one player.

Sunday, February 27, 2005. Rules of the Road (Trip). All that driving yesterday should have made me glad to be home. On top of that, I've been travelling pretty heavily (for me) since last November, rarely being home on consecutive weekends. Thursday, August 18, 2005. Discoville Braves A New World. From the Bradley Braves to the Atlanta Braves, Discoville has relocated to what some call "HOTLANTA." Based on the weather so far, they are right!
