Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: December 2012
http://jotsthoughtsandtittles.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Dec 10, 2012. The Power of the Voice. In a world where each individual is entirely insignificant to the whole, the one thing that makes each of us stand out is our voice, whether in song, in writing, or the words we speak. As I have read through hundreds of poems from students all across America, two themes stand out: our search for love and acceptance, and the pain from others' words. Is this who we, as a human race, as spirit brothers and sisters, have become? Kera with an e.

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: Motherhood doesn't mix with writing
http://jotsthoughtsandtittles.blogspot.com/2015/07/motherhood-doesnt-mix-with-writing.html
Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Jul 11, 2015. Motherhood doesn't mix with writing. Well, here I am again, same spot, same story, but with another little addition to our family. I still haven't finished my first book, I don't blog the way I wish I could, I'm still not funny, and I'm still lacking in the old wisdom department. Is this how all famous people start? Boringly ordinary, until they catch their big break? Or do the greats all start out as greats? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Kera with an e.

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: February 2013
http://jotsthoughtsandtittles.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Feb 27, 2013. There are some days where I literally think that my head is going to explode. Wait, did I say some? Please go back downstairs and get dressed for SCHOOL." He comes running upstairs a few minutes later, tearing into the living room to continue his golf game. I peek in the living room between applying lipstick and mascara, only to find him in his school pants, and a different grungy tee. Cue explosion. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Read some of my stories.

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: Overcoming Writer's Block
http://jotsthoughtsandtittles.blogspot.com/2013/10/overcoming-writers-block.html
Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Oct 30, 2013. Rewriting my book from humorous non-fiction to young adult fiction was no easy task. Instead of a bunch of funny anecdotes, I now had to have one long, continuous plot. People had to actually talk to each other, and I needed more characters. Because I was no longer reminiscing, I had to actually make up scenes and conversations, and that took some brain power, trust me! And finally, freewrite, freewrite, freewrite! Good luck, and happy writing! Kera with an e.

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: November 2013
http://jotsthoughtsandtittles.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Nov 1, 2013. Halloween frights for a child are completely different than for an adult. Well, okay, different than a parent, anyway. I no longer have to face the horrors of haunted houses (thank heavens), but there are others that are longer lasting. I always am unsure of when to take the kids out. What time is appropriate? Another Mom-of-the-Year award should have been given to me. I called him back, and luckily, he obeyed. Now, normally, I'm a pretty big scardy-cat. Had I...

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: August 2013

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Aug 8, 2013. Gardening has never been my strong point. When I was growing up, the extent of my experience included picking grapes, raspberries and blackberries. Gardening was my Dad's job. We weren't allowed to weed, due to my sister's accidental picking of the carrots instead of the weeds. So when I got married and we moved into a house with a massive garden, I was. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Read some of my stories. Five Minutes in Final Edit. Waiting For Cupid-2nd excerpt.

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: Life from a child's view
http://jotsthoughtsandtittles.blogspot.com/2013/12/life-from-childs-view.html
Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Dec 31, 2013. Life from a child's view. Over the past year, I've collected hilarious things that my children have said. I thought it might be fun to share some of these. Jacob was 6, Gabriel was 5, and Jarod was 3. Gabriel (to Daddy, who squashed a mosquito): “Are you petting the mosquito? Jacob (to Caleb, who's learning to say sounds): “Say guh.”. Caleb: “Guh.”. Jacob: “Say juh.”. Caleb: “Duh-duh.”. Jacob: “Say microwave! Mommy (hiding and jumping out at Jacob): “Boo! Gabriel...

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: September 2013
http://jotsthoughtsandtittles.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Sep 13, 2013. Writing from a different perspective. It's done. At least I hope it is. My husband suggested that the reason I hit a road block was because I haven't been reading like I used to do. Maybe I might get some ideas by reading again? But reading takes too much effort, I protested! Hopefully, if everything goes the way I'm planning, I'd like to continue my story as part of a series. I have lots of great things I still want to write about. If it doesn't work out...Mike,...

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles: June 2013

Jots, Thoughts and Tittles. Jun 30, 2013. The World is our Stage. The stage curtain rises, and the stars step out into the spotlight. All 7.1 billion of them. Each actor has been told that they are the main characters, that they determine the outcome, and that they call the shots. But each actor is pushed aside by all of the extras, whether intentionally or by mistake. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Read some of my stories. Five Minutes in Final Edit.
