Life and recipes of a busy mom. Friday, December 5, 2008. This is a great crockpot. Recipe that my kids love. I usually double this so that we have lunches for a few days. 1/4 C packed brown sugar, divided. 1 C chopped onion (about 1 large). 1 1/2 T. Mexican seasoning. 3 T Worcestershire sauce. 3 T cider vinegar. 3 T molasses (it's icky sticky goo). 1 t dry mustard. 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste. 1 (2 pound) boneless pork loin roast. 8 whole wheat hamburger buns. 1 (12 oz) package broccoli coleslaw.

Life and recipes of a busy mom. Thursday, December 11, 2008. This recipe is from Cooking Light Superfast Suppers. I have quadrupled the amounts to feed our household of 8, and changed the way to cook it from broiling only, to baking and then broiling. The kids LOVE this, so when salmon is on sale, we have it. 4 T maple syrup. 4 T hoisin sauce (found in Asian section). 4 t Dijon mustard. 1 t coarsely ground black pepper. 4 lbs salmon fillet(s). Serve with whole-grain rice or bakery bread and a salad.

I usually double this so Mike will have leftovers for work, but now the boys like it so much that I have to triple it! Glad I'm good at math! I will post it with the original amounts to serve 4. 1/2 pound ground round. 2 T balsamic vinegar. 2 t dried Italian seasoning, divided. 1 C part-skim ricotta cheese (about 9 T. if you want to measure that way). 5 t commercial pesto.

Life and recipes of a busy mom. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. December 29, 2008. Well, I have a VERY good reason for not posting for about 3 weeks. On Dec. 11 th. Come out to give his opinion and estimate on what to do with the remains of the maple tree. He said we shouldn't even think twice about taking it down. His quote, $3,000! Our most beautiful tree is gone, the huge willows look like they won't survive, and I no longer will have a lovely shade garden, as there will be no shade. Glad I'm good at math!

Thursday, December 4, 2008. 1/2 c Brummel and Brown yogurt-based spread. 4 T lemon juice. 2 t Worcestershire sauce. 3 1/2 lbs. peeled and deveined shrimp. 2 t Old Bay seasoning. 4 T fresh parsley. Combine first 4 ingredients; set aside. Side dishes: Caesar salad and bakery bread or rice. Labels: Heres Whats for Dinner.
