Fantasyland seemed like a good choice today since I live there most of the time. Since we always start at the beginning, here we go. The Matterhorn and The Skyway. Today I thought I would visit the Matterhorn and the Skyway. One I love and other scares the beejeezus out of me. We'll start with the one I love. The Matterhorn. Shown in the first three shots at the beginning of it's career. I love this one with the House of the Future in the foreground. And here it is finished in 1959. Here's a shot that gives me the willies. I don't see a lot of safety gear. Yes I sound like my mother). I can't imagine how people would fit in those today.

A Little Slice of Life. Friday, January 8, 2010. Socks, Jeans and Baby Fat. Why am I the only one without socks? Everyone else in the house has socks. What about me? I open my drawer and there is one pair of balled up socks rolling around and I'm not even sure if it's a matched set. I would blame the ravenous sock eating dryer but that would suggest that it was being selective in the socks it swallowed. I don't exactly give it that much credit. Of course I could be wrong. It sounds so much better that way.

Eventually I will run out of pictures for Disney World (though probably not anytime soon) but I figured I would throw in the occasional Disneyland group from time to time to shake things up a little. Personally I love Soarin' and could ride it over and over again. I'm a big fan of the smells! And when ever they fly over the golf course I get a secret thrill knowing they filmed that only a few miles from where we live.
