dispatches from conflict: Blood on your hands
http://dispatchesfromconflict.blogspot.com/2011/03/blood-on-your-hands.html
Afghanistan Palestine Iraq Lebanon Egypt. Mar 31, 2011. Blood on your hands. Would you drink tea with a man who is responsible for the death of more than 100 civilians? Do you consider the man whose militia controls and tyrannizes tens of villages as a partner for peace? Is the family that has earned millions of dollars over the backs of their fellow countrymen by exploiting their suffering a table partner? The most important consideration isn’t really whether someone is a war criminal, but whether...
dispatches from conflict: A burning sensation
http://dispatchesfromconflict.blogspot.com/2011/04/burning-sensation.html
Afghanistan Palestine Iraq Lebanon Egypt. Apr 9, 2011. One of the staff at my Kandahar office has an 11-year-old daughter who loves going to school. School is where her friends are, where she writes her stories and where she tries to understand why the teacher says her handwriting needs to improve (she vehemently disagrees). School is also in the centre of town, where the recent week of violent protest made it impossible for her to go there. Posted by Dispatches from Conflict.

Afghanistan Palestine Iraq Lebanon Egypt. Jun 10, 2011. Afghanistan: In Loving Care. The drone crew and the special forces never detected the bundled-up boy on their video-images. dispatches from conflict: November 2011
http://dispatchesfromconflict.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Afghanistan Palestine Iraq Lebanon Egypt. Nov 10, 2011. Paper Victims and Fraud. A collection of REAL stamps. Unfortunately for them we've got our ways of snooping around and verifying people's stories, and our own database that rings an alarm-bell when the same names or ID numbers pop-up: of a man who supposedly died a year ago, but now has a broken leg, for example. Dispatches From Columbus | Hockey and other stuff, fresh from Columbus
Hockey and other stuff, fresh from Columbus. Puttin’ on the hurt! November 11, 2010. And I mean that literally, St. Louis. For you lost a hockey game and TJ Oshie. Plus some pride. I have to admit that I did not have a lot of confidence going into Nationwide last night, hoping that the Blue Jackets could score their usual three goals and hold St. Louis to only two. Again, last night was something. A total team effort. Great job from the old man Clark, from Brassard showing that he is what he is s...I won...

The Guadalajara Chronicles | "I don't think we're in Dairyland anymore…"
I don't think we're in Dairyland anymore…. May 15, 2014. You, Wisconsin, with your lime green leaf buds, with your sun heating my hair and your wind chapping my cheeks, with your crowds of Badger red that break up the dull palette of wintery grays, with your lakes that glitter and freeze, with your rains that never stop and snow that always falls and summers …. dispatches from down dog | some of the best ideas come when you're upsidedown
Australian International Sourcing Fair. Dispatches from down dog. Some of the best ideas come when you're upsidedown. In Search of Connection. May 26, 2015. The menu included osso bucco, polenta, vegetables and Champagne (the real French stuff! I came away from the evening terribly homesick for the women in my life that are all mostly in the US. I am also very appreciative to God for supplying me with surrogates here in Australia. It’s the ex pat life, I think, ever seeking connection. November 24, 2014.

Dispatches from Dubai | An ex-pat's Adventures in the Middle East
An ex-pat's Adventures in the Middle East. Hot Rods – Middle Eastern Style! I think it’s amazing that no matter where in the world you go you see how much we all love vintage cars………they are like part of our family. There is just something wonderful about taking an old chevy and really pimping it up, and then taking it out for a spin so that you get that “oggle” factor! Not too long ago I ran into the ultimate “oggle” factor of cars supped up Middle Eastern style! A Very Appreciative Audience.

Dispatches from Earth
Stuff you may find interesting. Thursday, September 22, 2011. Hey check it out, the rocks are here! I chose these because they look like rocks. One of the things I would like to accomplish as best as possible is to make this treehouse blend into the surrounding area and into the trees. So far it's blending in well and I think these rocks look great, and they feel like rocks. Also they were pretty inexpensive. Hey Mom, check it out! Fiberglass binder resin. Ahhhh. Labels: The Treehouse Project. Which I ta...
