Dispatches from France: September 2012
http://dispatchesfromfrance.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
The story of an American girl who followed a French boy home. Sunday, September 23, 2012. The biggest adjustment, I think, to this new working schedule, is that we have to cram everything that needs to get done on a Saturday. Even if Stéphane doesn't work on Wednesdays, I have the car so he can't run errands (but at least he can make phone calls! The last leg of this errand crushing day had us going to the other side of town, picking up groceries I'd ordered on the internet (and seriously, thank goodness...
Dispatches from France: La Rentrée 2012
http://dispatchesfromfrance.blogspot.com/2012/09/la-rentree-2012.html
The story of an American girl who followed a French boy home. Wednesday, September 19, 2012. My last day at my old job was August 25 and I had a week's break before I started my new job in Reims. I mostly spent that week stressed out, second guessing myself, terrified that I'd made a bad choice. Thought, "What the hell have I gotten myself into? Lucky for me, my lunch spot looked like this. I munched my tuna avocado sandwich and people watched for forty-five minutes, and I was ready to attack my new life.
Dispatches from France: October 2013
http://dispatchesfromfrance.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
The story of an American girl who followed a French boy home. Tuesday, October 08, 2013. Man, this has been one hell of a year. Shortly after I wrote my last post, a lot of things happened at once. Most of them happened inside my head. But, no. I found myself at a conference in Paris, surrounded by office-type people talking about banal office-type things, and I thought, "what the hell am I doing with these people? But the truth is, I'm not the same person that I was in 2004. I don't see the world th...

The story of an American girl who followed a French boy home. Monday, February 06, 2012. This roller coaster ride ain't over yet. She seemed very enthusiastic about my project and some quick computer searching found that I may be able to get my classes funded for the national bookbinding school in Bourgogne (Burgandy, the region just to the south of us)! I was so ready for them to say "No, sorry, there's nothing we can do for you" today that I can't quite believe that the ball is still in play! The sunri...

Just perfect for that case of the Mondays. If you need a laugh or 80, this is the place. Posted by Jasclo at 7/10/2006 01:26:00 PM. Got something to say? And the survey says. It's not so bad. The new neighbors. WHY do we always get idiots as neighbors? Need to post about that. With photos. I really need to. Clean out the guest-room closet. But annyoing all the same: the seat-heater saga, start to finish. Â Sept. 2004. Â Sept. 2005. Â Sept. 2005 II. Â Sept. 2005 III. Â Sept. 2005 IV. A Year in the Merde.

When we were in Hawaii in January, we met a couple - Sarah and Steven - from Wisconsin. We've stayed in touch and now they're selling their house. Sarah has created (or had someone create) a Web site showing photographs of their home and giving information about it. It's so cute it makes me want to buy it and move there. You can see it here. Posted by Jasclo at 8/18/2006 11:58:00 AM. Someone just said my link doesn't work. I can't fix it right now so here's the address! Got something to say? Now for the ...

And then you had to bring up reincarnation. Days, sometimes weeks, can pass and I'll still be thinking about a conversation with someone. A while back, BTV. And I were discussing fate and things happening for a reason. I'm a believer. He's not. No matter what he says, I'll always be a believer. Maybe one day something will happen that will change his mind. Here's why I believe. Did you ever see that episode of Mad About You where Paul and Jamie talk about the museum blackout? But I knew something. Also, ...

Now with more curry. Saturday, May 01, 2010. We spent a leisurely morning in Pitlochry, a lovely town that's known for its hiking trails and big with outdoorsy types. I'd love to have more time to explore the area, but we're headed out this afternoon for Inverness. Where they make "stones" out of the stems of the heather plant, and fashion them into jewelry and gifts. Posted by Epiphany @ 10:12 PM. Wilmington, North Carolina, United States. Dispatches from Dubai | An ex-pat's Adventures in the Middle East
An ex-pat's Adventures in the Middle East. Hot Rods – Middle Eastern Style! I think it’s amazing that no matter where in the world you go you see how much we all love vintage cars………they are like part of our family. There is just something wonderful about taking an old chevy and really pimping it up, and then taking it out for a spin so that you get that “oggle” factor! Not too long ago I ran into the ultimate “oggle” factor of cars supped up Middle Eastern style! A Very Appreciative Audience.

Stuff you may find interesting. Thursday, September 22, 2011. Hey check it out, the rocks are here! I chose these because they look like rocks. One of the things I would like to accomplish as best as possible is to make this treehouse blend into the surrounding area and into the trees. So far it's blending in well and I think these rocks look great, and they feel like rocks. Also they were pretty inexpensive. Hey Mom, check it out! Fiberglass binder resin. Ahhhh. The Wrong Path To School Safety. And Everytown for Gun Safety. Why not the — to the gun-rights proponents — more sensible tactic of allowing properly-trained teachers to carry on the job? And on and on. Most of those arguments are based on pure fantasy or pure fatalism. Teachers aren't supposed to be cops.

Friday, February 17, 2006. One more before the weekend. I didn’t think I was going to get to post anything today, but I have some time so here you go. Then there is some sweet to balance out the sour. I was headed east on Interstate 80 and the sun was making its way up. The wind had kicked up big clouds of snow that seem to float in the air and linger for a while. The sun was hitting these little clouds in such a way that it was reflecting the orange and red light. It was gorgeous. Ramblings of a douche.
