It is sad, and a little frightening even, that the people who still attend the UCC in Stanfordville have no idea why so many active, long term members of their congregation have left the church. Or, worse yet, they may have an entirely incorrect idea. But, after you have been publicly libeled and painted as the evil-doers, how do you defend yourself without coming off as sour grapes?
