Friday, May 8. Bright Baby Summer Shirts. This is one of my favorite styles from McCalls (pattern 6781). So light and comfy, but enough detail to be interesting. A few tweaks here and there, and I am loving how it turned out. By serging the arm holes and turning them under, I was able to omit the sleeves. Saturday, November 30. Love Letters Envelope Quilt for 12Squared. I finished up last year's 12Squared. Quilt this month. Now, I'm ready for this year's, even though the year's almost over. I hand stitched with red around each block. Then, machine quilted around all the envelopes. My dear little machine was just not big enough to hand the volume of this quilt. It ended up being a very generous twin sized. So, the top is a bit loose, but I actually like how cozy it makes the quilt look. Monday, November 25.

Monday, July 15. L wanted something small, not baby-ish, and laid back. So, she invited a couple of friends from church and her cousin to come play cards, eat pizza, cupcakes, and ice cream sundaes, and watch a movie. She ate a small lunch, saying she was saving room for the party. My girl loves to plan. She writes lists. Lots of lists. There have been lists of party ideas floating around the house for weeks and weeks. She was excited to decorate and loved the color scheme (no pink! Happy birthday, Lulu!

While running errands with Suzy, I noticed these strange posts in lots of different parking lots. Apparently, it can get as low as -30 degrees F in the midst of winter. Sunday, February 5, 2012. A few weeks ago as I got off the phone with a best friend from high school, Avery asked me who I was talking to. She has to know EVERYTHING). Our conversation continued a little longer and then I asked Avery who her Best Friend was; without hesitation she replied: "oh mom that's easy, Ansley.". She has asked me multiple times this week, " when is Ansley going to wake up from her nap? I want her to play with me.". I can't put into words how happy this makes me :).

Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Our sweet little guy came very peacefully and uneventfully into the world on February 22, 2013. We can not get enough of this sweet and 100% healthy little man! Now brace yourselves, what you're about to read is seriously the BEST birth story EVER! It was a nice reunion and they could not wait to see Ansley! I told them I couldn't believe they remembered us and they said they don't have many incidents like ours and it would be hard to forget! We are all so in love with him!

Monday, September 20, 2010. August was full of unexpected events. One day I was headed to a doctor's appt. with the kids in the backseat when suddenly several cars in front of me slammed on their brakes. I slammed on brakes as quickly as I could but still collided. With the car in front of me. It was one of the most scary moments of my life. Our collission bent the rear bumper of that car. Our little Ford Focus, however, took one for the team. So, Oh well, I think I'll just smash. Into the back of it!

I feel like this is the start of a new phase in our life! Firstly-Joey passed his Qualifier earlier this month and NEVER has to take another course for the rest of his PhD career. I walked downstairs for a second to get my clothes out of the dryer and I come up to find. 2 girls playing in the water. Emptying the soap dispenser. And half a tube of toothpaste in the sink. I heard some mischievous giggling as I was walking up the stairs, peaked in on them and opted to grab the camera before they had to help clean it all up:).
