soy cube: Learning
http://soycube.blogspot.com/2015/06/learning.html
Monday, June 8, 2015. Apparently, youre supposed to know exactly when to pick the broccoli so that it is big enough to be worth it but before it goes to seed. We did not. Broccoli bouquets for the table! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). soy cube: Kakitsuba
http://soycube.blogspot.com/2015/05/kakitsuba.html
Thursday, May 14, 2015. The irises are blooming on the south side of the house. Irises always remind me of the the Japanese story in the Tales of Ise where a group of travelers sit next to the Yatsuhashi (Eight Bridges) in a marsh full of irises. soy cube: Sunflowers
http://soycube.blogspot.com/2015/08/sunflowers.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Last year I planted sunflowers along my garage, but the bunnies chewed them up before they were a foot tall. This year I put up a fence, and now I have sunflowers that are seven feet tall and blooming. I quite like them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). C) Soy Cube is the name of a candy in Japan. soy cube: First bounty
http://soycube.blogspot.com/2015/07/first-bounty.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2015. We came home from Indiana to find that our garden had started producing fun things. We have snow peas, green peas, dragon beans, currents, raspberries, and daikon all ready to eat; the tomatoes and peppers are all fruited up promisingly. Of course, we also have weeds. soy cube: Alpine in the summer
http://soycube.blogspot.com/2015/06/alpine-in-summer.html
Sunday, June 14, 2015. Alpine in the summer. Last fall, Britt gave me about 15 alpine strawberry plants of different varieties and ages. I overwintered them as best as I good, and I guess I did something right, because they are producing quite a few tiny white alpine strawberries! These berries are smaller, whiter, and sweeter than regular strawberries. Sometimes I think they taste like strawberry candy. I also have two red-berry-producing varieties for some contrast, but they arent as prolific.

soy cube: Arena Curling Nationals
http://soycube.blogspot.com/2015/07/arena-curling-nationals.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Sam and I both competed with our respective mens and womens teams at Arena Curling Nationals last weekend. Curling in the summer? Yes, curling in the summer when it is so hot outside that the compressors break down, its so foggy on the ice that you cant see the other end, and someone goes up to the roof to spray down the mechanicals. http://soycube.blogspot.com/2015/07/up-in-elevation.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. Leslie and Jonathans cabin is up at 11,000 feet. The trek to and from the outhouse, and up and down from my loft bed are not easy for me. Id like to say Ive gotten used to it over the last three days, but I might be lying. Well see how todays real hike goes. Super intense and Im super jealous. August 10, 2015 at 2:01 PM.
