Lake Powell – Stanton Creek. August 12, 2015. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Camp after arriving and setting up. The dogs explore their new surroundings while Bradley picks up trash from a very trashy campsite. In the evening I grilled some dinner and then the sun made a dazzling appearance just before disappearing behind the horizon. While my family and I sat on the shore enjoying the light show to the west we almost missed another show behind us–a bright double rainbow! Colorful, stormy sunset.

I was already wearing a rain jacket but the cold forced me to stop and put on another layer underneath. Brr! Heavy traffic on the road due to a trail race in the Tushars. Rain beginning to fall. All posts by Dennis. Yuba State Park, Painted Rocks. September 1, 2016. My family and I spent the first weekend in August camping at Yuba State Park. It was my brother-in-law’s 40th birthday and he’d invited his parents and siblings and their families to camp with his family. I told Traci that I’d be happy to drag the camp trailer that far IF. Construction traffic in Spanish Fork Canyon. Bradley with a gopher snake. Shadow selfie with a beer on the beach. Axle grease inscriptions north of Painted Rocks.
