Strollin' Along EighthAve
http://8thave.blogspot.com/2008/07/wow-such-long-time-between-posts-my.html
Friday, July 25, 2008. Wow, such a long time between posts! My apologies, friends. Work has had me absolutely hopping crazy lately. Additionally, taking care of two kids is more than twice as much work as one child, I've come to learn. How people cope with more than that, I just don't know. You just surrender a significant portion of your non-child aspects of life and keep going. As I said, work has been wall-to-wall for a while now, but vacation is next week, Yay! So anyway, aside from sleep, an occasio...

Strollin' Along EighthAve: December 2004
http://8thave.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 22, 2004. So, last week, I'm in high anticipation of getting home. My copy of Jeff Fisher's book, "The Savvy Designer's Guide to Success". At least according to the UPS tracker website. So I get home and Mrs. Dave brought the packages inside. At first I thought it was strange that they sent the books in separate packages, especially since I did the "ship all together" option to get free shipping. "Whatever, as long as it's here! So, I'm thinking "What the? What a great surprise! Takin...

Strollin' Along EighthAve: April 2005
http://8thave.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 29, 2005. Well, I don't remember ever doing something like this, but it was fun. Joepe inspired me to give it a shot. I've got a way to go before I'm on his level, but you have to start somewhere, right? For those familiar with them, you'll easily recognize that I created the whole thing with brushes from Keith Bowman, a few may have also been from AngryBlue, but I'm not positive. Posted by David Hollenbeck @ 3:43 PM. Wednesday, April 27, 2005. What kind of Jedi are you? Oh, we knew we woul...

I watched this lovely video a little while ago but have been thinking about it ever since. It is relaxing, inspiring and intriguing. There are a lot of art journal vids out there, but I think Friday Eudaemonism's 'Bliss' is one of the better ones. Plus, it is a chilled out Saturday morning and it suits the mood I'm in at the moment. Time to Come Clean.

Living in relative obscurity :. Attack of the killah chinchillas. Duster and oreo have been having some roommate scuffles as of late, so we decided to buy a second hideaway for them. at least this way if someone gets booted out of the igloo, they'll have someplace else to hide. they promptly hid from it until they discovered it was edible. Oreo checks out the intrusion, as duster remains oblivious. Oreo showing off his balancing act, while duster continues to ignore the camera. Duster makes a run for it!

Living in relative obscurity :. When you sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day like I do, and have absurdly poor posture (like I do), then you're just a case of RSI (repetitive stress injury) waiting to happen. Over the summer I bought an ergonomic mouse: the Evoluent Vertical Mouse 2. While the Mace Windu. To be specific]. It's got some whistles and bells- a zoom toggle, programmable function keys, and even a calculator button! Posted by deb @ 11:30 PM. Links to this post. View my complete profile.

Living in relative obscurity :. An unorthodox review of "REVENGE OF THE SITH". If you hated episodes I and II, see this movie. If you loved the "original" trilogy, see this movie. If you want to see obi-wan kick some galaxy-wide ass, SEE THIS MOVIE. R2-D2's return to prominence in the story. Lots and lots of lightsaber fights. Ewan mcgregor's excellent transition from uptight episode II obi-wan to a more playful character. great segue to alec guiness's version of old ben kenobi. Return of the wookiees!

Feeling good about my business. Looking forward to supervising an exam, but only because I'll get some marking done. Wanting my thesis proposal to write itself. Wondering how I can have so much work due now for a second semester subject. Wishing I'd organised to go to the farm this weekend. Well for me it is.
