Surprising bintan has some good macro dive sites. being very near to singapore, visitors on transit can take a short break on this island. surface condition is usually calm with no to strong underwater currents. water temperature around 30 degrees celsius with horizontal visibility between 5 to 8 meters. If you are on transit, use manado for the last leg as it has over 50 dive sites and most of them are easy dives in clean, clear and blue waters. definitely a good change after lembeh. lots of macro and each dive is easily over an hour. It has an international airport, so getting to manado is easy.

This is where I post when I need more than 140 characters. Sunday, February 14, 2010. Hellit's not just for children. I'm in Hell. OK, maybe that's a bit melodramatic. For one thing, I'm pretty sure an eternity of weeping and gnashing of teeth is accompanied by an endless loop of Nickelback tunes.
