Some Fool Blog: Screenwriter

Better to meet a mother bear robbed of her cubs. There's not much to add to my post on the subject, which I might one day move to this page. Screenplay is a very spare form. Every line of imagery or dialogue has to be overloaded with import, and yet be completely transparent and straightforward. My biggest weakness is probably volume and speed. I don't churn em out. I should be trying to do that. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Scriptnotes, Ep 277: Fantasy and Reality — Transcript. The time has come at last!

Some Fool Blog: Mediation
http://somefoolblog.blogspot.com/2014/06/mediation.html
Better to meet a mother bear robbed of her cubs. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. I think I have heard it argued from Hegel, that idealism brought to bear on real-world events develops with a logic of Terror (named for the French revolution Terror). When a fixed ideal of human being, expressed completely in concepts, the result for real exhaustible humans is terror; to meet the ideal we must subtract whatever most obviously does not conform - with the guillotine or the progrom or the camp. Nobody liked those col...

Some Fool Blog: Tristrapedia
http://somefoolblog.blogspot.com/p/tristrapedia.html
Better to meet a mother bear robbed of her cubs. Like Tristram Shandy's father, I hope to develop a complete educational system for Elbetorte, my potential future offspring. Like Tristram's father, the progress on this is likely to be far outstripped by the growing up young Elbetorte. At the moment, I have to wait and see, but the parts I have in mind are:. 7 year regimes 0-7, 7-14, 14-21 with different authority structures in each. Lots of iTunesU - Richard Slotkin's course on Western Movies is fantastic.

Some Fool Blog: October 2014
http://somefoolblog.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Better to meet a mother bear robbed of her cubs. Monday, October 27, 2014. Memorial to past EBay auctions lost. I opted not to bid on a Bo-ema single group coffee machine this weekend - it was listed and sold for $400, and I think the purchaser got a great bargain, a very serious dual-boiler machine suit a small cafe or home with many tired people. So, salutes to those brave purchasers. You have done well. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Scriptnotes, Ep 277: Fantasy and Reality — Transcript. View my complet...

Some Fool Blog: January 2015
http://somefoolblog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Better to meet a mother bear robbed of her cubs. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. I've made a huge mistake. I have been sweating the espresso machine options for a while and an apparently 6-month old Boema (Australian made commercial machines) was on sale in Victoria for $1000. And it was the day before work started and it seemed to me that I needed to take action. My wife too, was wearying of my esprotic (? Advances, because she said fine, see if I care. And so I said Maybe I will! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
