A nonbeliever's search for faith. Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Why seek God at all? He said that if God exists, he does whether I believe in him or not, so why not just live my life? He'll still be in control either way, but I don't get the added benefit of the peace that might bring me if I don't believe. So, I suppose what Steve says is true. A nonbeliever's search for faith. Tuesday, January 22, 2013. I realized that my pride is what has been getting in the way. I thought that I could figure out how to be holy on my own and that if I did that, I would find God when the opposite is true. Once I find Jesus, the rest will fall in place. I won't have to constantly work on improving myself because Jesus will do that for me. I won't have to do it on my own any more. As the pastor said, "In Jesus alone, but not alone in Jesus.".
