taking the long way home: February 2010
http://sbcarolina.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Taking the long way home. February 2, 2010. New year . . . . One of my new year's resolutions was to be more disciplined about my writing. Seeing as how today is the second day of February, I'm obviously getting right on that. I've been a little preoccupied the past month(s) and there are big changes all around me these days. Good changes, and some sad changes, too, but necessary and healthy all the same. Tuesday, February 02, 2010. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

taking the long way home: finding my song again
http://sbcarolina.blogspot.com/2011/07/finding-my-song-again.html
Taking the long way home. July 25, 2011. Finding my song again. What better way to recharge and reconnect than to spend one's days singing and learning really good, really challenging music? I've been overwhelmed by a sense of focus and purpose the past few weeks. I'm working diligently towards some really big changes, and I am excited to see doors of opportunity opening. They Keep Us On Our Toes: March 2009
http://theykeepusonourtoes.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
They Keep Us On Our Toes. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Check out the new SMILE! Ansley lost her first tooth this morning! I am shocked - doesn't seem like my little girl can be old enough to lose a tooth already! The tooth was the bottom center - don't be mistaken by the gap in her upper teeth . . . no there are no teeth missing there. She's got teeth just like her Mommy had at that age. :). Monday, March 9, 2009. What a Difference a Week Makes! Tuesday, March 3, 2009. What are the chances? But, the good new...

They Keep Us On Our Toes: Happy Birthday to You . . .
http://theykeepusonourtoes.blogspot.com/2009/08/happy-birthday-to-you.html
They Keep Us On Our Toes. Monday, August 24, 2009. Happy Birthday to You . . . Drew turned 2 years old on Saturday - I cannot believe it! I woke up that morning to hear him over the baby monitor counting from 1 to 10. How can this be? It's like he was annnouncing to me - you don't have a baby anymore, Mommy, I am a big boy! But, we couldn't let his actual birthday pass without a little more fun - and another NEMO cake. So, we celebrated again this weekend. Happy Birthday, Little Man! First Days of School.

They Keep Us On Our Toes: First Days of School
http://theykeepusonourtoes.blogspot.com/2009/08/first-days-of-school.html
They Keep Us On Our Toes. Thursday, August 20, 2009. First Days of School. Where has the time gone? How can Ansley be starting Kindergarten this year? Well, two days of school are down - Ansley has done great! No tears from Ansley or Mom! She really seems to like it - her favorites of the day being recess and the bus ride home! No, she didn't mention snack time - I know everyone is shocked! Talk about a little anxiety for mom on the first day. Let alone her first year in school! First Days of School.

They Keep Us On Our Toes: May 2009
http://theykeepusonourtoes.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
They Keep Us On Our Toes. Monday, May 4, 2009. Yes, nearly a month later, here is an Easter update. I figure, better late than never. We had a great Easter this year and were lucky to have Nana (Matt's mom) visit us over the holiday weekend. We had an Easter egg hunt with friends before Easter, dyed eggs, went to church Easter morning, and then had another egg hunt on Easter. Fun times! Would I ever have let Ansley eat candy - including Peeps at 20 months old? The second child has it much easier.

A totally random look at the world - - thoughts, observations, musings, anecdotes, epiphanies and just some snarky comments here and there. All told by a husband and father, ex-journalist turned PR dude, living in Upstate South Carolina, who just happens to find putting words to pen of some random use. (Well, words to keyboard anyway).
