Strugglesworth. | DIYChild

100 DIYS in 100 Days. So I have really been struggling at doing this whole DIY thing, 100 DIYs in 100 days is catchy, but down right impossible, considering I was born under the year of the horse, and according to that I am SUPER flighty. ( My lovely sister proclaimed loudly that I would fail at this. ) She was right. So instead, I figured I could just post pictures of crafts I wanted to do and MAYBE get around to completing them. I did recently ( and very quickly) do a DIY on a pin I saw on Pinterest!

100 DIYS in 100 Days. Here is the simple pattern you will need for the skirt in my recent post. Paper ( for pattern). Scrap paper (for writing). Marker ( or pen). Measure your hips at the widest point ( not your waist). Write down the number. Our pretend model will have a 24″ waist. Add 8″ to that number. For our model that would be 24 8= 32. Write that number down. Get out your paper Mark on one straight line FOLD. Place this side on your fabric fold. B measurement for waist. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

DIY Holiday headband | DIYChild

https://diychild.wordpress.com/2011/11/21/diy-holiday-headband

100 DIYS in 100 Days. So this DIY is really just an everyday one… but I used a pretty deep burgundy lace that I thought it would count for holiday. This is probably a look that I will wear for the holidays because A. it’s classy B. it is really simple and C. who doesn’t like a cute bun and head band combo? Lace, ribbon, fabric etc. Sewing Machine ( optional). Main items you need. Step 1: With the lace measure your head all the way around, snip where it meets. Sewing the other side. I saw some 1/4″ ...

Need a Skirt? Sew it up! | DIYChild

https://diychild.wordpress.com/2011/11/14/need-a-skirt-sew-it-up

100 DIYS in 100 Days. Okay, so this DIY was inspired by a couple of Pinterest pins for really cute miniskirts. Again what do I not have with school loans knocking at my door in a less than ideal economy? Money to buy them! So I pulled out a linen top sheet that I had bought in college for a banner that never got used ( sweet store in the area was going out of business) and decided now was a good time to use it. Sewing Machine/ thread (duh! Paper ( any kind will do newspaper, printer paper etc). Thread el...
