DIY-Velomobile

Tuesday, August 21, 2012. I am boxing in the side frontal area to stiffen up the body. Finished look of boxed in area. I didn't like the feel of the tiller steering that I had. I went back to under seat steering. It turn out that I have enough room for it and it feels much more stable on corners. You have a lot more leverage with under seat than you do with tiller steering. Friday, August 17, 2012. Front supports in place. Monday, August 13, 2012. The whole body tips up. Modelling turtle deck in cardboard.

DIY-Velomobile: December 2011

http://www.diyvelomobile.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Here is a preview look. This is a little bit misleading because the right side and the back aren't done. You can get an idea of the final look from this angle. I was looking at my velomobile from the back and it seems so wide. I realized that I have too much overlap over the wheels. They are 2" in from the side of the body. I looked at pictures of other VMs and the wheels are flush. So I cut 2" out of the side of the body and now it looks like this. Friday, December 16, 2011.
