Q&K! Quilting & Knitting: Quilt-a-ploosa
http://quiltingandknitting.blogspot.com/2009/08/quilt-ploosa.html
A blog about my quilting and knitting projects; as well as life in general. Sunday, August 30, 2009. I have made incredible quilty progress this weekend. I'm thrilled. My husband was away Friday and Saturday, the baby is a bit sick, but I still managed to complete a great deal of craftiness (house is a mess, but you can't have it all). It makes me happy to realize I can make time for the things I love to do - not everything, but enough to make me happy. Binding done on this one). And this one with Monkeys.

Knitting, Seattle Adventures, taking the dive into CARless-ness. How to have an authentic “down east” lobster bake. After the fire is built and sufficiently hot, start with a bed of seaweed and add corn, potatoes, and lobster! Keep adding lobster, kielbasa and bags of steamers. Look at all that goodness! Cover it up with more seaweed. whew this is tiresome! Cover the pile with a canvas cloth that has been soaking in water. Move the whole thing over the hot rocks and let her cook! We learned a lot! Wander Washington! | IfTinkerBellKnit
https://iftinkerbellknit.wordpress.com/2009/10/18/wander-washington
Knitting, Seattle Adventures, taking the dive into CARless-ness. H planned this years excursion for us, researching different corn mazes in the area. She picked one called the Farm. It is in the shape of the State of Washington, with the pathways being actual interstates, US highways, and State Roads. The maze contains a whole host of facts about Washington history and you have a scavenger hunt to complete. It was a lot of fun! I didn’t do much navigating- which is a good thing. Hayride to the Maze.

Days By the Water: March 2015
http://daysbythewater.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Days By the Water. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. It was a sign of spring when I was looking at the linen yarn and thinking possibilities. The yarn was Quince and Co. Sparrow, colors were Nannyberry and Sans. The day was my first day of spring break. It was a perfect combo. Paul said the lace border looks like dragonfly wings. And I like that, a lot. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. The yarn was madelinetosh Tosh Merino. I used about 1.25 skeins. And US #7 needles. Now I just have to figure out what to knit next.

Days By the Water. Thursday, January 22, 2015. Here it is, the yarn from the disappointing sweater. There is something very satisfying about letting go of things that are no good. Monday, January 19, 2015. Jewel Socks and Disappointing Sweater. Wanna know how bad the sweater came out? Here it is, the most unflattering, uninteresting sweater. Can I just say, this is the most boring style of sweater! But, on a brighter note. I finished a pair of socks in 3 days, watching new episodes of George Gently o...

Days By the Water: July 2015
http://daysbythewater.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Days By the Water. Thursday, July 16, 2015. I finished this sweater over a week ago, but guess who was too lazy to take photos until now? The yarn used was Quince and Co, Chickadee, a sports weight yarn. One of my favorite yarns for sweaters. I first thought about working it top down, but since I swatched the motif from bottom up, I decided against spending more time to re-swatch and re-chart. The motif used cable and few eyelets. How much do I like it? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe in a reader.
