The Djangomatics are a trio (two acoustic guitars and an upright bass) who draw their inspiration from the musical legacy of Django Reinhardt. We perform the Gypsy style swing jazz of Django Reinhardt as well as Latin, Klezmer, and French musette. Our wide repertoire and experience enable us to perform in a variety of settings, ranging from intimate dinner music to high energy stage performances.

And so we discovered our shared love of gypsy jazz. We would have been thrilled to book either of these bands, but as we planned our celebration, it increasingly called for a low-key musical element. Ryan Hoffman has been part of the Seattle music scene for over 25 years and has performed extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest. In 2000, Ryan spent a year in France researching Gypsy Jazz music. After which he returned to the U.S. to start Zazou. Based in Seattle, Zazou has been a popular Gypsy Jazz band around the Puget Sound for over 10 years. The group has released three CDs:. In 2007, he joined the Northwest’s most well known Gypsy Jazz combo Pearl Django. The Ryan Hoffman Trio.
