Tozo是這趟旅程Bebey指定給我的'professor",一開始不熟跟語言不通有點擔心(他不會英語我不會法語),但Tozo熱情且細心的教學、帶進帶出的慢慢的也就變成好朋友了. Tozo今年22歲,是這次Bebey Youla工作坊Ballet的音樂總監,看他跟舞者間solo的對話超過癮,渾然天成的真是種享受. 他說,djembe就像說話一樣,要看著對方,說出合宜的句子,但剛開始,請先把基本bass,tone,slap弄清楚,並且學會用" 兩隻手說話" ,意思是節奏形態要右左交換. 例如三拍的基本節奏形態是: Slap ．Tone / Slap ．． /. 我們用自然手順是 右．左 / 右．． / 一直持續下去,. 要換成: 右．左 / 右．． / 左．右 / 左．． /. 因為這樣會右左交換,就有跟跳舞一樣的律動,同步後就能跟舞者同時變化動作,並要把左右兩手的音色要練到一樣,這是他們Susu族的訓練方式. 這種方式跟自然手順不一樣,所以我花了些時間練習,尤其遇到solo的句子時超殺腦神經的有夠卡@ ,但速度跟音色的掌握是真的有提升. 帶著我出出入入的ballet leader Tozo的手,他才22歲.
