Friday, August 18, 2006. What is Black Culture. It seems like a simple question right. I was confronted with this what I was reading an article from the New York Times. The title of the article was Overcoming Adoption’s Racial Barriers. It raised several questions for me. Can black children learn and understand black culture from un-black parents? How important is it to have parents to have the same cultural understanding as the child? It seems like an easy question, no? Does that mean you are not black?
