But Music Fest has never been about booking big acts. The festival is for students, by students. Put together by a dedicated group of volunteers, meticulously planned, eight years old and still going strong, Music Fest sets an example for all other aspiring collegiate music-lovers out there. February 4, 2015. Changing Concepts in the News and the Basic News Story. Surplus of news – both positive and negative. News room and newsroom structure. Harmony between print and digital in the newsroom – convergence is necessary. Multi-talented – know how how to do everything. 8211; unified field. Writing is important everywhere. Online trumps print nowadays – think online. Newspapers can’t break news anymore – breaking news is completely digital. Newspapers and physical news sources still matter.

March 4, 2015. Digital Media and Journalism. No digital content would be possible without the foundation of the written word. Current State of the Media. Mobile is key – on-the-go journalism. Consume and report using mobile tools. 8211; the only tool you need is a smartphone. Everyone has the ability to call themselves a journalist. Everybody has a blog/can report on events. True journalists can’t just pick up a smartphone and a laptop and say they’re a journalist. Shift in where advertising should.
