Live From Denmark: Where have you been?
http://dkklive.blogspot.com/2007/12/where-have-you-been.html
My life in Copenhagen. Friday, December 7, 2007. Where have you been? That is question I need to answer. The truth is, I've been here all along, I just haven't got around to writing anything. But I suppose now is as good a time as ever to write something. I leave on Dec. 20, just 13 days away. Yikes! Where did this time go? I have four items left on my academic list: two papers and two exams. Then I'm out of here! I don't know how many more times I will post, but I hope to include at least a farewell pos...
Live From Denmark: On Economics
http://dkklive.blogspot.com/2007/12/on-economics.html
My life in Copenhagen. Wednesday, December 12, 2007. This post has nothing to do about my time in Denmark. It's about my life, or at least, a little glimpse into what I care about. My favorite website, outside of news sites like the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times, is Marginal Revolution. Another one of my current economic icons is N. Gregory Mankiw. An economics professor at Harvard, he also has a blog. Why do you love it so much? What is it about it that you love? December 14, 2007 at 6:30 PM.
Live From Denmark: I made the Copenhagen Post!
http://dkklive.blogspot.com/2007/11/i-made-copenhagen-post.html
My life in Copenhagen. Thursday, November 15, 2007. I made the Copenhagen Post! I was asked to write a short opinion piece. About the Danish election for the Copenhagen Post, an English language weekly. I wrote it a week before the election, and they just published it today, so that is why it seems out of tense. Thats so exciting. You got something published in a foreign newspaper, lol. I'm so proud, my baby is growing up! November 26, 2007 at 5:11 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My life in Copenhagen. Tuesday, September 25, 2007. A nondenominational church for English-speaking students/residents/visitors of Copenhagen. He is an American who actually attended seminary in PA! So my friend Jesse and several others went to the church house for dinner at 6:30. All told, there were about 20 of us from FISh there. We ate a traditional American grill dinner- burgers, chips, etc. And cookies! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

A Depressing Feature of the Third World | Adam Goes to Egypt
https://ashafferauc.wordpress.com/2007/12/15/a-depressing-feature-of-the-third-world
Adam Goes to Egypt. He’s going. You wanna know what he does. A Depressing Feature of the Third World. December 15, 2007 in Life in Cairo. In another instance of “do as much as I can before I leave next week,” we decided to head to the Giza Zoo, if only for the reason of playing with lion cubs. Yes, with a little bribing (i.e. 10 LE) we can hold a lion cub and take photos with it. We also got to play with some monkeys and feed some other animals. Fun? We walked around a little more, got mobbed by little E...

Sotto il Cielo di Roma! | Adam Goes to Egypt
https://ashafferauc.wordpress.com/2007/12/25/sotto-il-cielo-di-roma
Adam Goes to Egypt. He’s going. You wanna know what he does. Sotto il Cielo di Roma! December 25, 2007 in Travel. Well more like a couple nights… whatever. Making flight reservations seven months ahead of time can be both good and bad for several reasons. Clearly, the earlier you book reservations, the cheaper it will be but who knows seven months later what will actually occur during the semester and how home sick one will become. After dinner, we went to Campo de Fiori, a nightlife area right near wher...
Why I Won’t Make Aliyah | Adam Goes to Egypt
https://ashafferauc.wordpress.com/2007/12/09/why-i-wont-make-aliyah
Adam Goes to Egypt. He’s going. You wanna know what he does. Why I Won’t Make Aliyah. December 9, 2007 in Adam's Thoughts. With the creation of the State of Israel in 1948, Jews finally. Had a homeland. And with that, came the inevitable question: how do I move there? The Right of Return – as it is unofficially known – is the right of Jews to return to their ancient homeland,. Not a bad deal, right? Although I can’t marry in Israel… minor details… but yes. In Israel. Yes, I said crisis. Absolutely. L...
For Good | Adam Goes to Egypt
https://ashafferauc.wordpress.com/2008/01/08/for-good
Adam Goes to Egypt. He’s going. You wanna know what he does. January 8, 2008 in Adam's Thoughts. All good things come to an end. My semester here in Cairo is officially over and it has been one of ups and downs, great triumphs and failures, happiness and sadness, and feelings of emotion that I have never experienced and probably never will experience ever again. Would I change the way I did some things? Yes But do I regret anything? Adam’s Photos from Abroad. Cairo Roomie (from Carleton). I have LOVED re...
Back at the Mids: Still in Awe | Adam Goes to Egypt
https://ashafferauc.wordpress.com/2007/12/13/back-at-the-mids-still-in-awe
Adam Goes to Egypt. He’s going. You wanna know what he does. Back at the Mids: Still in Awe. December 13, 2007 in Life in Cairo. So with seven days left, we went back to the Pyramids, to say our goodbyes. We got up early and were the first ones into the Pyramid complex this AM (yes! We spent a little more than we bargained for but hey! How many times do I live in Egypt? We were there early enough to go inside the Great Pyramid of Giza. I managed to stay on the camel this time. Enjoy! Aunt Cheryl and Megan.
Israel: My First Earthquake | Adam Goes to Egypt
https://ashafferauc.wordpress.com/2007/12/06/israel-my-first-earthquake
Adam Goes to Egypt. He’s going. You wanna know what he does. Israel: My First Earthquake. December 6, 2007 in Travel. So I managed to get across the Jordanian-Israeli border with ease and very little questioning. I bypassed a tour group so I didn’t have to wait several hours like I did at the Egyptian border. I then found an Arab bus that was leaving in thirty minutes for. The next morning, I awoke early and laid in bed for awhile until about 9:30am… when… the room started to shake a little&#...I walked ...
Stuck | Adam Goes to Egypt
https://ashafferauc.wordpress.com/2007/12/24/stuck
Adam Goes to Egypt. He’s going. You wanna know what he does. December 24, 2007 in Adam's Thoughts. Well my Alitalia flight from Rome to New York was an adventure in itself, culminating in a near-falling out of the sky – luckily onto the runway – because of the incredible winds around the New York area. Until 1:55am, arriving in Pittsburgh at 4am. Beautiful. Now I am suffering. I just want to get home. Adam’s Photos from Abroad. Cairo Roomie (from Carleton). Carrie (travel buddies fellow AUCian). You are ...

Adam Goes to Egypt. He’s going. You wanna know what he does. Welcome back to America. December 24, 2007 in Adam's Thoughts. So, in lieu of the inevitable post about Rome or my grand finale on the semester, I finally made it home. Only ten hours after I was supposed to but, hey, at least I made it. After kicking myself for coming home from abroad right during the middle of the holiday travel season and. Flying through JFK and. Adam’s Photos from Abroad. Cairo Roomie (from Carleton). I'm an archaeologist who also does some web design. I'm the webmaster for the Florida Archaeological Council, the Central Gulf Coast Archaeological Society, and the Florida Anthropological Society. I currently work for a Cultural Resource Management firm in Florida. This site is mostly a place to put up photos that I've taken. I've only gotten around to creating one photo gallery but more will come eventually. Someday I may get wordy and add more to this index page.

Dansk, kultur and kommunikation - individuel opgave. Faste deltagere i mediepanikkerne.
